Auzituck gunship repaint in LAAT colours

By apoapsis, in X-Wing Painting and Modification

I wanted my Auzituck to look more like a traditional rebel ship, so I decided to paint it in LAAT colours since it has similar proportions. It doesn't look much like a LAAT but I'm pleased with it.

I painted a couple of my other ships similarly, repainting Miranda to look like her card art, and I wanted a less brown HWK :D . I've unintentionally ended up with a coherent squad of ships.

i like it.

I have the same issue with the auzzy's normal color i do with Warhammer40k Tau's "normal" color - its...best described as "puke brown" lol.

That is amazing...

That looks great! I think it looks faster and deadlier.

Way better than the original. This suits the ship really well. Great job!

If this was the way it looked out of the box, I might've bought one but the official canon ship just looks fugly and un-Star Wars. It would stick out like a sore thumb with my Rebel fleet so I'm taking a hard pass on it.

I dub that Wookie-mobile 'Margot' (a beautiful Auzzie)

Fantastic squad scheme.

I know Miranda's card art has black canopy glass, but might your gradated blue tie the squad together even more perfectly?

I'll probably go back and do this, Miranda was painted before the other two. I'm trying to keep a single canopy colour for each faction as far as possible - so far that's blues for rebels and yellows for scum.

Now I want a nice strawberry sundae with nuts and the cute colored candy pieces.

:P

Very cool paint scheme. Love the "Clone Wars" and the paint jobs on all the ships from that era. Great job on your ships.
