I'm going to have to pile on with Adaptive Ailerons . That upgrade is AMAZING! Who came up with that? They deserve a raise...or maybe just a cookie, but they deserve something. I am solidly in the TIE striker camp right now, and having a blast! Read the report of my two Store Championship experiences in the battle report subforum. Strikers can do some amazing things!
Here are some favourites from what I've been able to experience of the game so far (not in order):
1. Push the Limit. I love my TIE Interceptors, and this is what makes them tick.
2. Expertise. It feels very satisfying to turn those red dice over.
3. Dengar crew. My personal preference is for always-on effects rather than one-shots. I'm attracted to this one's power and the fact it's not used as often as it could be (presumably due to the Dengar pilot). I also really like that it leaves my EPT slot open (for ... Expertise ...).
4. StarViper Mk. II. Yes, I'll take my pilots drunk.
5. Soontir Fel. Okay, I know I'm picking a bunch of really powerful stuff. Maybe I'm a bit of a powergamer. I like how effortless gaining this substantial bonus feels.
6. Maarek Stele. I like how the ability presents a (fairly unusual) choice. Was fun with ... Marksmanship, lol.
7. I have to agree about Keyan Farlander, especially coupled with no. 1.
8. BB-8. Flavour win. Especially fun with no. 1.
Other things I've enjoyed: Arvel Crynyd, Colonel Vessery, Guri, Poe Dameron, Whisper, Advanced Cloaking Device, Ion Cannon, Sensor Jammer, TIE/D.
Least favourite card: Tractor Beam.
Edited by TheHumanHydraCurrently I really dig Intensity. It brings a wierd form of action economy for ships we don't see often and promotes fun flying. I love me some boosting and barrel rolling.
Accuracy Corrector. I frequently can't roll for **** and it makes my insides cackle with glee every time I throw away those ticksy dices and put two hit results in their place. Last time I played AC/TLT Nym I'm pretty sure I had to correct at least 90% of my shots.
edit: P.S. One of my favorite non-serious lists is 4 x AC Tie Advanced with Cluster Missiles. Delicious list with maximum correctage. Mmm mmm mmm.

People may be tired of him, but I always nod in appreciation of the simplicity. He restores shields all of the time in the movies (when he isn't hacking), so it's perfect.
+1 to the Adaptive Aileron upgrade. This single card really feels more like ships are flying. I never played the WW1/2 Wings something or other, but I vaguely remember that's how those moved.
Favorite pilot ability is probably Turr Phennir. Such a cool mechanic, to shoot while embracing that ship's arcdodging style! Its a shame he isn't used much anymore. Arcs are so wide nowadays that he's just not of good use at his PS.
Favorite upgrade would have to be Palpatine. Before and after his nerf, I don't think there's a more quoted upgrade on game nights. Doesn't even matter which side he's on! Everyone in the room can enjoy a good old man quote. DEW IT.
