Deckard's gun in "Blade runner", a bolter?

By Techpriest support, in Deathwatch

Is it possible that Deckard's pistol in blade runner was a type of bolter? When he fired at batty and missed, we clearly saw the round explode on a wall. It was a loud, powerful gun meant to stop targets at least slightly physically superior to a human. I think it might be similar to a bolter of some type. Especially a "civillian" or "human" bolt weapon.

And second link with same topic but different content.

I saw a plug for the new blade runner movie and watched the original for the first time in years. When I saw deckard miss batty and the round explode it did seem to me like a bolt round. I hadn't gotten DW before then so never thought of that before. Looks like other people connected the same dots. Of course deckard's bolter would not be a marine model.

I always viewed it as a kind of bolt pistol that Imperial Guard commanders and other officers sometimes are equipped with, i.e. smaller variant than a space marine version made for human hands
