Hot Shot Co-Pilot and Soontir Fel with Focus Stack

By Shadow345, in X-Wing Rules Questions

If I shoot at Soontir Fel and he has multiple focus tokens does the Hot Shot Co-Pilot force him to spend all the tokens or just one?

Card Abilities, page 8 of the Rules Reference. The first bullet is the notorious rule most players call, "once per opportunity."

Short answer: no.

Short answer: no.

It's not really that notorious. ;)

No - Hotshot Co-Pilot card says the defender/attacker must spend 1 token if able.

You can force him to spend 1 token when he attacks and 1 token if he defends against you, but if he somehow has more than that, they are not subject to HSCP.

A single ship can potentially make him spend 2 when he's defending, with Gunner. It's a good combo.

You're also not allowed to spend more than one focus token per attack/defence (unless one of them is doing something other than the default focus effect), so even if you wanted to you couldn't do it.
