There is a story behind that name actually.

I see Hawthorne as the kind of adventuring hero that can just grab any old horse and inspire it to ride into battle. He doesn't necessarily need his own horse. Part of the reason I feel this way is that we've seen Hawthorne for years without a horse.

That said, if he did have a personal horse, I think it would be named Daisy.
