When they Etraed Rhymer I was a little pissed as I thought that was all the Empire had for the squadron game and it just did not make sense as to why they did it.

Then I was playing Sloane and my mind when AH-Ha. With Stronghold you could hold your fighters at range 2 of the Quasar granting the reduced damage to the fighters and then still hit ships at the Meduim range basically allowing the Quasar if not blocked to attack at long range with 4 dice.

So no special incite just the AH-Ha moment for me.

you could do that with a Jamming Field before.

They changed Rhymer and Rieekan because they both made most anti squadron armaments non-functional.
