I got someone who loves to play the good old Rey/ Finn combo, and Kestal ruined his day well enough...

So the TiE/Ag isn't cream-your-pants amazing, but it's still fun and different (because we didn't have that stuff Wave 1 in our environment). It's doing a job that's a little bit boring maybe, but it does so well enough and at the end of the day has to function in 100 pts, not 25.

I for one will not start to scream at the wall for that. I'm just not going to buy four either.

Flew Double Edge today, it was a lot of fun! I used Unguided Rockets and Synced Turret with Intensity, to try everything out, but I think I'd swap Intensity for Deadeye. Simply focusing to get both your weapons turned on seems like it would be better than the barrel roll/focus trick. I dunno! Either way, missing a shot only to be able to try again felt really good, and not paying 3-7 points for the privilege is icing on the cake!

I had some other ships in the list that seemed to be a higher priority for my opponent, like Pure Sabacc and the Inquisitor. I'm sure if Double Edge had been targeted I wouldn't have had as much fun with them, though then I could belch out more 4-5 dice attacks with Sabacc... so either way it would have been fun!

That positivity is absolutely infectious! I want to try out that Deadeye build now.

That name is pure gold!

Well, Kylo is of course enormously effective on RAC, but he should work well enough with a Starkiller Base Pilot, giving you some points for Action Economy without losing too much attack opportunities like a Lambda potentially would. And since I love Strikers, some Pure Sabacc with that?

I erased a torp boat before it could fire in one match. In a deadeye scurgg match, dropped it to 1 hull opening round (opponent rolling three natural evades on all attacks). Cruise missiles are no joke.

Kestals ability is close to crackshot. I rolled a hit/crit with primary on Vader who had focus & evade tokens. He rolled eye,blank,blank and I cancelled his dice. He spent evade token ate a crit. She can punch through with her two dice. I want to try her in a howlrunner swarm. Crackshot and her ability can put some hurt on.

I think the aggressor is gonna take some time to shine, like the SF. Its a different kind of ship people have to get use to.

@wurms I keep thinking about your list and I immediately was wondering what your process is when you find out that Backdraft rolls cold for his cruise missile. Do you spend the TL now and accept that Kestal will probably never have another opportunity to launch its missiles? How likely are you to launch both of them for the TIE Aggressor (higher since TSync is here, I imagine). The list feels like it could really use a second TSync.

I did, but I'm referring to this scenario:

1) QD takes a TL, launches a CM, uses the TL for rerolls, uses chips, uses crackshot for good measure, gets a TL

2) Backdraft has focus, so he uses QD's TL to launch a CM on the same beef target. Depending on how that goes....

3a) the roll is cold, so you decide to spend the TL for rerolls, denying Kestal of the same chance to launch towards the same beef

3b) you accept a bad shot, making Kestal capitalize on the pilot ability combined with the CM's firepower

Do you always go to 3b? What's the thought process?

First, if i can take a TL with BD, then I do that so he can maximize his missile. If i cant, then yeah 3b and live with the bad shot from backdraft, and maximize kestal. But with focus and chips, backdraft should get a decent shot. Ive havent had a game yet where all three missiles were fired in one round. Quickdraw is usually in range 1 and does damage with crackshot, or else the ship dies before another missile can be fired like in inquisitors case.

I have no problem with firing a missile and not spending the TL either. Sometimes i had to spend Kestals focus cause I rolled hit and three eyeballs and not gonna mess with four hits.

In the 4 matches i have played so far Kestal got both cruise missiles off in one game, but having that second cruise missile made people avoid her and fly differently. Fenn Rau took himself out of one game knowing he can be one shotted. Asajj flew weird routes to close range 1 on kestal allowing backdraft to flank.

The power of that second cruise is not seen, but definately felt. Have to try games with a turret instead of second cruise, see how that goes.

Thanks again man. Can I ask why sensor cluster and not pattern analyzer on Backdraft?

Did you face many PS10 lists? And how did you do against other PS9's that gave you initiative? So you couldn't arc dodge as well?

Because backdraft isn't going to be doing any type of reds because he wants to be facing the other way. Even with the amount of green dice, sensor cluster helps for those blank outs. Saved him at least twice. The RAC and quickdraw were ps 10s with a bid so he gave it to me. That one came down to knowing RAC will always go for broad sides so you have to bait him into a rear arc shot, yeah it's less damage from quick but it's usually worth the damage that otherwise would be lost from no shot. The rear arc on the SFs played major parts against anything with a better dial and movement options.
