Just saying, the thing bears a rather close resemblance to the old TIE Avenger of ye olde X-wing/TIE Fighter PC games... The X-Wing:Alliance model specifically is pretty darn close.

On the bright side statting it shouldn't be too rough...

It's not like Disney is coming up with any really new ideas. Just about everything in TFA was ripoff/homage (take your pick) of something from the original trilogy, so it's not surprising to see them keep it up.

There's not exactly a lot of interesting design legroom in the TIE concept, pretty much every good concept for an alternate design of TIEs has been done, multiple times. Most of the bad concepts too

Not really shocking that this bares a pretty close resemblance to something which already exists, if you want to stick to the iconic TIE aesthetic it's pretty impossible to not step on toes.

The first sentence of the description says the exact same thing.

What I find interesting is that it from the description it comes off as almost a "One of a Kind" craft similar to Vader's Tie Fighter. Of course it might just be like the Inquisitor's Tie Advanced. A small run of specially created fighters for the Imperial Leadership / Knights of Ren. I would like to see more on it. Maybe it is as much like Maul's Sith Infiltrator as it is a Tie Interceptor.

Of course that fits in with we know about Kylo. Also the first Order in General.
