If FFG said that you could choose what the next unit released was going to be what would you choose? Anything you want, even if it is completely imaginary!
If you had one wish...
whatever unit that would get some of my gaming group interested in buying in
2x2 dragons! With a cone attack mechanic.
Rune Golem hero.
An elite Elf unit
Malaana on her Scorpion mount. If she isn't on that scorpion, I will be very disappointed.
Daqan Siege Golem from Battlelore 2nd Edition. I think it would make a nice "medium" size unit, maybe a 1x2 tray?
It has a very long range attack, but with a dead zone so you're safe if you get up close. The attack can "splash" to adjacent targets too, and in Runewars terms the Golem is "elevated" and can shoot over other units.
In Battlelore archers roll 2 attack dice with a range of 1-4 hexes, the Siege Golem rolls 4 dice with a range of 2-6 hexes.
I would like to see something like a bone golem for Waiqar. It would basically be an amalgamation of different bones to make a large, stalking creature, slow, but durable. That's if I had to make one up.
I think I'm really hoping to see the Doombringer, even though I don't play Uthuk. I just love bugs! (So Malaana on her scorpion would also be cool.)
EDIT: I changed my mind. I just want the barrow wyrm. I was trying to come up with something else, but nothing will be as cool as the barrow wyrm.
Edited by ParakitorI want to see a bear unit for Latari. Either bear-cavalry or maybe giant trained/sentient bears as siege units. Tough, high damage, but less maneuverable (not necessarily slow -- perhaps a 3 charge on a bad initiative). Something big and scary to serve as an anchor for them to dance around with their flanky units. And bear-themed!

There's already something like that in the Runebound universe, Bone Horrors. They're in Battlelore 2nd Edition and Descent and already sort of in Runewars... the mounted version of Ankaur Maro is riding one.
For Waiqar, a single-tray wraith unit: very quick (longest movement templates) that can ignore obstacles of any sort (both terrain and units) as long as they don't finish their move overlapping it. ?
Rune golem expansion sized box of Reese's Pieces.
Rouge dragon kin that have rejected evil and greed and now fight for the humans or elves
Banshee!
Dwarves! new army. (pics from Descent)
(And Orcs of course)
Edited by HijodecainAn undead cav unit that has 1 armor and 2 wounds and is cheap, so I can run maro embedded in cav.
Short stories for Runewars TMG instead of the "Legend of the who gives a crap AKA don't you have enough competitive LCGs already?"
LORE. RELEASE LORE.
Edit:
Also Dwarves.

Red dragons were always my favourite too.
I think I'd like a light cavalry unit for Daqan that could re-arrange trays during the game as an action. You could go single file through tricky terrain placement then spread out for a charge!

I'm ok with a siege golem as long as they make it look cool, aka, not like it looks in battlelore.
Wonder if we could get Frothan and his Ghouls from Diskwars. Though I imagine they will bring out the vampires first.
Daqann needs their Paladins back.
Literally any giant crazy monsters! I want the table to looks epic wile I play!
Dragons, Giants, And all manner of fantasy monsters!
I'd like some orc and/or dwarf units that can be used as allies, hopefully to be expanded later into full armies.
Spell casters for each of the races. Not necessarily unique hero types, but rather ranked units whose numbers would effect the power and intensity of the Magic. Along with a catalog of offensive and defensive spells.
