That's not, strictly speaking, accurate.

If Poe gets focused down by a clever opponent, or higher PS opponents, at this point, he can get you a whopping zero extra health (or [sort of] get you one, if you're using Comm Relay).

There may be some math done to draw up an average amount of bonus health provided, considering optimal or realistic game states, but they don't, by virtue of their inclusion, amount to a darn thing.

Edit: Forgot about Comm Relay in parenthetical, adjusted to reflect it.

Keep in mind, I'm not saying the R2-D2 build is better. I personally like the bb-8 build. I'm just saying I can see the usefulness of it Rebel regen.

Good call, I got stuck looking for a regular use of an Evade, didn't realize you were talking about an initial one hanging out via Comm Relay..

At worst it's a slightly cheaper Shield Upgrade, with the possibility of being more, especially if you pull out and reset as you suggested.

Makes total sense, my bad.

Yep. I like BB-8 because I think the action economy is better. evade turn one with intensity, focus to unexhaust it. Than carry the evade with you and use intensity with the BB-8 barrel roll to get a focus and knock off TL's. After that, you can still use an action to TL or boost yourself. It makes Poe insanely maneuverable and difficult to kill.

There is a guy that we play with that likes the Rs-D2 option because it's rebel regen. And his Dash/Poe list tore it up last night. so, the usefulness is definitely there. I think it's a preference on how you fly.

As I fly Imperial as my primary, I suspect it makes a lot of sense that the regen version is repellent to me.

I ran Dash/Poe casually and for Hanger Bay's at Worlds and Kashyyk, same Dash, I love Ryan's Poe and think I'm gonna give it a try. I believe he took the 2 point bid because of Dengar/Fenn/Inaldra clocking in at 99. However, just down the 15 Freeway where I'm at there's a local where he clocks his Fengar/Inaldra build at 97. May take out Rigged Cargo. However, that can provide useful to double stress Fenn.

If that happens, it's definitely not the list that's the problem.

I'm beginning to see Comms Relay as an option, but I love primed thrusters to be able to boost off of a T-Roll or K-Turn and then next round dial in a green but still be able to barrel roll with BB-8.

This thread has definitely given me lots of food for thought.

Bonus for Primed Thrusters -- you're not crippled by other stress giving options that are currently in the meta.

Assaj is likely still going to be on tables, and Rebel Junkyards have some stressful variants.

Comm Relay w/ BB-8 variants do NOT like stress. The Artoo variants have the same relationship with stress every standard ship has. One is manageable, two is a bad time.

I'm 99.9% certain I'm going to run my Poe build as is. I have been practicing too much with BB-8 and the synergy with Intensity is too good.

I like pulling K turns and T rolls (multiple times a game) so primed thrusters is where it's at for my style.

That said, I'll be trying this crazy tanky Poe build one of these days but not this weekend.

One thing I have not considered is Leebo. I'm going to listen to the Leebo Meta episode and see what the story there is.

With a YT-2400 and HLC outrider, there doesn't seem to be a huge difference between PS 5 and 7.

I just finished it, too. I get their points and it's hard to argue with success. I think there are a lot of variables at play here to determine which is best, and it might just come down to play style. I, too, will be trying the BB-8 version first and see how survivable Poe is.

If you have two points to spare, I have personally loved feedback array on dash. If you get chased by Fenn rau or a similar ace, you can easily block him and give him a damage (you trade off 10 % hp for 25 % of his hp and lose him an action to boot). It gives them something to think about that's for sure ;-).

Food for thought; While I as a dash player in every meta since his release (kyle-super, kanan-super, lonewolf dash) understand your reluctance to lose up on PTL, I personally dropped it after I did not need engine (just like you have dropped it). Then you factor in; What do you gain from PTL? You get a reposition, and in the best of times you get focus/TL.

With Rey/lonewolf you get offensive rerolls, and focus in a turn where you barrel rolled away or even bumped into people. In rounds where you did not bump you can get up to 2 focuses. The defensive rerolls you get are even more worth it, and can contribute even more to carrying dash to the lategame. When considering you are praising countermeasures, then think about how that upgrade is in a turn with double focus, rerolls on your 3-5 green dice. It's really just too god **** great.

I must say, on at least 1 occasion I missed primed thrusters, but on two occasions I used a stored evade to mitigate damage. I think using Rey takes some getting used to (remembering to bank focus, and take focus from bank at start of combat).

The three point bid is a bit excessive, but I know Poe will go first vs PS9. After listening to the podcast, I'm a bit taken with the idea of regen. I'm not sure If I will get any more practice before Sat. I think Black One, Intensity and BB8 all go so nice together, so I'm probably sticking with that.

My Dash build is certainly easier to play, and maybe that's the safe bet for a tournament. With Leebo, I'm not so sure I missed being able to fly over rocks, and I liked being able to pick my crit. I'm still learning the timing of when to pop countermeasures. I popped it a bit too early at the first engagement (but avoided a 5 dice cruise missile - so maybe it was the right time?)
