I kinda like the skipray! Maybe because of the hours playing GaW and sentimental value. Still, I like it...

Sorry! Maybe I'm being too harsh on Blastboats... I too remember them well, but from X-Wing Alliance! That's why I also struggle to think of that thing as the Slave II, it's the Enkidu to me! I think they're fine, but they don't really fit the Star Wars aesthetic (they seem kinda Star Trek-ey to me)

I just bought the Edge of the Empire core rules, and man was I surprised to open the starship page and see the Blastboat sitting opposite the Action VI Transport! I think some of the Action's ugliness subconsciously rubbed off on the Blastboat for me...

Fair enough. Though I'd say it's Sienar Systems' problem. Designing a ship with giant blinders that resemble barn doors is ******* stupid.

The TIE, while iconic, is probably the worst ship design in the game. No wonder the Empire fell.

If you're always pointed towards the enemy, it's not a problem. And if you're not pointed towards the enemy, you're a coward and a disgrace to the Empire.

...and if the enemy is to the side of you, you're blissfully unaware for the last few seconds of your life.

Just a fun game, but I was doing rather well until I dialed in a K turn for Wedge into a corner. My opponent though must have anticipated it because he got in the block just a millimeter short of completing the maneuver.

I looked at the 10 minutes left on the clock and said "I suppose it wouldn't be right to drag this game out long enough so I don't fly off the board..." We both laughed. 2 turns later Wedge's unavoidable trip off the board turned my winning MOV into losing. A couple minutes later the clock ran out. Doh!

1st game of my second tournament ever I flew an almost full health dash off the board by doing a 4 straight that was just angled enough so the corner was off the edge. I was about to win the game too.

I was about to get my Prince Xizor range 1 behind a brobot and had a good chance to kill it that turn, but I got overzealous and Advanced Sensors'ed into PTL for TL + Focus, then as I put the stress token down I realised I was doing a SLoop.

I flew RAC away on the last turn of the game, went to time. he was on one point of health, wanted to save MOV. Clipped an asteroid slightly.... you can guess the rest.

For those that can't... I rolled a hit, which I do every time I fly near a roid and killed Chirpy. I won, but MOV went down a lot.
