Last year SC, I was on the final table, it came down to a full health VI Corran Horn vs. a 2 Hull Boba Fett (scum). Our maneuvers left us in Range 1 of each other in arc - I could have barrel rolled off to the side and still had a shot while not getting one myself. But I said "ah frack it, he's got 2 hull, let's kill him!" And decided to take the F to stack with the TL+F. Needless to say, I didn't kill him at PS10. And then he proceeded to hit hit hit crit into my 3 blanks, and direct hit to one shot Corran. No reason for me to have been aggressive there, and it cost me the game along with the bye and plaque.

Fair enough. Though I'd say it's Sienar Systems' problem. Designing a ship with giant blinders that resemble barn doors is ******* stupid.

The TIE, while iconic, is probably the worst ship design in the game. No wonder the Empire fell.

First round on Sunday I ended my tournament on the first turn. Two unnecessary barrel rolls from my ships screwed up positioning for the entire game, I tilted horrifically when I realised I couldn't fix it and wound up making multiple mistakes every single turn.

Five turns into the game I conceded then dropped out of the tournament and went home... it wasn't going to get any better.

This was not a good idea. I went to a store champ on Sat, first round I got my approach and priorities all wrong, ended up 0~100. Second game I lost too but it was closer. Then won the rest came 8th by 3 mov. Made the cut, went to the final, came against Biggs, vcx, Jess. Vcx ended on 3hull, Jess on 2. I did lose but it was close. After my second game I felt whats he point but got some fresh air and mentally prepared for the next game thinking about that on not the day as a whole.

Finished the day happy.

When I got Tycho and loaded him up, I was having fun with the whole take-as-much-stress-as-possible thing. I just got done 1 hard turn-dare devil-boost around an asteroid, and having an last with it. Just to realize I didn't focus or evade as my brother rolled Fell into range one. Yup, whiffed on 3 green dice. Psycho Tycho was one-shot. D'oh!!!

Solar Panels! It's what makes the TIE Fighter the most eco-friendly and cost-efficent ship in the glaxy!

I took the lead early against a triple T-70 list killing Nein and dropping Jess to 2 hull, he also had a full health Poe (no regen). I had Fenn Rau on 3 hull still and Dengar with 2 shields left, Inaldra was still full HP and doing her thing. I then proceeded to fly Fenn off the board and Dengar off the board next turn. You misunderstand and still use the thread to vent your spleen. I'm saying the thread is supposed to be fun. If you want to ***** about the list; please do so in any of the threads moaning about mindlink/scum/jumps etc. I do not want sympathy. It's supposed to be a fun thread not another whinge fest that fills these forums up far too regularly. Instead of focusing on the fact that *shock and horror* there was a competitive list at a competitive event (who'd a really thunk that?); why not contribute positively? Or maybe just don't play if it upsets you that much?

I lost to the same guy and list previously at another local(ish) SC and I was worried in all honesty. He flys it fantastically so I wasn't expecting to steam ahead like I did. I genuinely was scared of them :P

The real icing on the cake? I could have saved Dengar had I taken an action the turn I flew Fenn off the board. I didn't barrel roll back which would have kept him on the board. I got my focus from Inaldra, TL from K4 (which also cleared my stress) and stood there thinking "I'm forgetting something..." before playing on :P You've seen personally how dumb I get when I'm tired; this was way worse than normal. Way, way worse ;)

Fantastic. So many people just looking for conflict on a forum about toy spaceships; it's truly baffling. I'm not sure what you're even saying or why you're trying to say it but... so long and thanks for all the fish!
