Gozanti-class Cruisers (23 points)

1 Ciena Ree ( 17 points)

I don't know how good it actually turns out to be, but I'm a much bigger fan of the second list. I've only played with Vic IIs set up that way once so far, and despite losing the game I did manage to one-shot a CR90 at long range... felt really good.

The second list, I think, is better. Maybe one of the raiders should have Flechette Torpedoes so that it'll help Ciena and Valen out some?

If the Gozanti is pushing Ciena and Valen, keep it as is. If not, put Comms net on it.

Unless you are pro at flying those light cruisers, I would run the second list. BUT, Heavy Squadron list are going to be an issue for you.

Hey guys, thanks for the responses! I agree that the 2nd list looks better on paper. I ran a variation of it a week ago and liked how the VSDs did with disposable capacitors and leading shots. I'm curious to see how often I'll get an extra blue dice with Quad Bat Turrets if I mainly keep them at speed 1.

I do have quite a bit of experience with the Arquitens though (even won our last store tourney with them) and I'm curious to see if Sloan and the Quasar make the Phantoms a viable squadron for once. Both of these fleets are mostly about trying out new ideas. I think I'm going to run Fleet #1 tonight and try Fleet #2 next week hopefully. I'll post a batrep later and we'll be streaming our match live tonight for all who are interested.

Cheers!

Well you guys were right. That fleet #1 took a beating. I made some pretty critical mistakes but I'm not sold on the synergy of Sloan and the carrier and how they work with the Arquitens. On to fleet #2. I hope to test that one out by next week or possibly sooner on Tabletop Sim.
