to give some context, I tried a similar build with a quasar II and defenders with ruthless strategist and agent kallus. It didn't do much... I ended up using the anti-ship armament more than anything else as the squadrons weren't the main threat in my game. The single blue die from defenders wasn't really enough to make an impact. So, I'd rather focus on a better anti-squadron force and use the anti-ship battery from the quasar to actually shoot at ships.

Also, I used hyperspace assault with the Vic and while the first shot was very damaging, being 2nd player meant the other player could always make his threatened ship go away. I felt like flying the 2 vics in formation would have been stronger actually. Maybe I just played my hyperspaced Vic wrong, but yeah, there it goes. I never tried fleet ambush, but I think that with a fleet like this it wouldn't be so bad actually.

I rate it 9.1 out of 10. Like the VSDs. Is there any way to get stronghold included to make the TIEs tougher once Zertek goes down. The Quasar will naturally be coming in close support to the Vics so the squadrons can stay close.

switched an interceptor for a tie fighter. Thx!

I think SW7's are a necessity on the VSD II's. Mainly because if you're going to chuck 3 blue dice at long range, why not get a guaranteed 3 damage? God help you if you get 3 blue accuracys and a blank on a red...

I think I'd prefer leading shots as you can drop an unneeded accuracy to reroll bad red dice or drop a blue hit to fish for more blue accuracies if you really need one such as shooting a flotilla.

I feel like its a matter of preference for the 3/3 front arc... because I find that SW7's are wayyy better than leading shots on the VSD's
