What are your thoughts on the future-design of other human subraces?

By Emirikol, in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

What are YOUR PREFERENCES on the future-design of other human subraces? Should they just be designed as "backgrounds" and advancement options with the same 2-dice benefit for all? Or, should they have specific STARTING benefits that vary from the "Reiklander 2-dice benefit"?

Here is a partial listing:

IMPERIAL: (Averland, Hochland, Middenland, Nordland, Ostermark, Ostland, Reikland, Stirland, Talabecland, Wissenland).

Albioni

Arabyan

Bretonnian (L'Anguille, Aquitaine, Artois, Bastonne, Bordeleaux, Brionne, Carcassonne, Couronne, Gisoreaux, Lyonesse, Montfort, Mousillon, Parravon, Quenelles)

Estalian

Kislevite (North Oblast, South Oblast, East Oblast, West Oblast, Troll Country (Northwest).... Gospodar (southern, wealthy), Ungol (Northern or common)

Norscan (Graelings (NW), Bjornlings (W), Vargs (N), Skaelings (SW), Sarls (S), Aeslings (NE), Baersonlings (SE)

Strigany Gypsy

Tilean

Wastelanders/Border Kingdoms

My opinion is that they should all get their own starting benefits that reflect the distinct cultural differences of districts within and without the Empire.

I don't think they all need to be absolutely unique - Reiklanders might have some traits in common with Middenlanders, but one or two would be different.

bretonnians should be able to invest 5 creation points into wealth to become a "minor noble"

You start with as much money as affluent characters but you can also request up to 20 gold of stuff a month from the land that you own. (It's assumed that you own a small town or something that provides you with income, goods and when in doubt soldiers.) However you are one of may nobles so the population you have to order around should be less then 5,000.

Oooh, I like that idea :)
