My first Rebel Fleet

By Herr Style, in Star Wars: Armada Fleet Builds

I'd like some help please in firming up what to include in my Rebel fleet. I have the core set, plus a MC30 and another Neb B. I'm keen if possible to include all the ships I own. I'm thinking of getting one more MC30 and the Rebel fighter pack to create this below: -

Commander: General Rieekan

Assault Objective: Opening Salvo
Defense Objective: Fleet Ambush
Navigation Objective: Solar Corona

[ flagship ] Nebulon-B Escort Frigate (57 points)
- General Rieekan ( 30 points)
- Yavaris ( 5 points)
- X17 Turbolasers ( 6 points)
= 98 total ship cost

Nebulon-B Support Refit (51 points)
- Salvation ( 7 points)
- X17 Turbolasers ( 6 points)
= 64 total ship cost

MC30c Scout Frigate (69 points)
- Admonition ( 8 points)
- Ordnance Experts ( 4 points)
- Assault Proton Torpedoes ( 5 points)
= 86 total ship cost

MC30c Torpedo Frigate (63 points)
- Foresight ( 8 points)
- Ordnance Experts ( 4 points)
- Assault Proton Torpedoes ( 5 points)
= 80 total ship cost

CR90 Corvette B (39 points)
= 39 total ship cost

3 A-Wing Squadrons ( 33 points)

The tactics would be that the NEB's are my firebase keeping the enemy fleet occupied, with the A wings as protection from other fighters. The MC30's would head off either left or right flank and the CR90 would either head the opposite flank, go with the MC30's or just be a nuisance out front.

Another option I have is get another CR90 instead of the extra MC30, and that would give me more fighters.

Any advice is appreciated. Even on objective selection too.

I'd suggest swapping the titles on the mc-30s. Put admonition on the torpedo and foresight on the scout. I'd also suggest moving Rieeken to the scout Mc-30, the Yavaris being your flagship is too juicy a target.

The Yavaris isn't going to be doing much with only 3 a-wings, you might drop it for another corvette

Yes with no named fighters and only 3 squadrons I'd drop Yavaris for a TRC CR90a and maybe upgrade the CR90b to similar. Then take Mon Mothma.

So drop my neb b escort to a support, lose the Yavaris title (11 points), and with the A wings gone get a CR90 A?

Sorry I meant drop Neb and CR90b for 2 CR90a with TRCs, then take Mon Mothma. Keep a fighter force even if it just some token AWings or cheap Rogue capable squadrons.

Thanks for the input so far. I'm trying to keep things for now on a budget, as I still need to get more ships, including Imperials, and that last list would involve buying two more Rebel, and not using one of my Neb B's. Would the list below look OK? Just means I have to buy one more CR90 instead of a MC30 as well.

Faction: Rebel Alliance
Points: 389/400

Commander: Mon Mothma

Assault Objective: Most Wanted
Defense Objective: Hyperspace Assault
Navigation Objective: Minefields

MC30c Scout Frigate (69 points)
- Foresight ( 8 points)
- Ordnance Experts ( 4 points)
- Assault Proton Torpedoes ( 5 points)
= 86 total ship cost

Nebulon-B Escort Frigate (57 points)
- Yavaris ( 5 points)
- X17 Turbolasers ( 6 points)
= 68 total ship cost
Nebulon-B Support Refit (51 points)
- Salvation ( 7 points)
- X17 Turbolasers ( 6 points)
= 64 total ship cost

[ flagship ] CR90 Corvette A (44 points)
- Mon Mothma ( 30 points)
- Turbolaser Reroute Circuits ( 7 points)
= 81 total ship cost

CR90 Corvette A (44 points)
- Turbolaser Reroute Circuits ( 7 points)
= 51 total ship cost

3 X-Wing Squadrons ( 39 points)

I'd probably lose the Yavaris title too for an extra X wing, or shoe horn Luke in with another subtraction.

XI7s, DTTs or the new QBTs are definitely worth it on Salvation but on Yavaris or a standard Neb you can do without. That should get you an upgrade to Luke (or Biggs or Jan).
