TIE Phantom, Imperial Aces, Millennium Falcon, HWK, Slave 1, Lambda, X Wing original core, Y Wing, TIE Adv, Guns for Hire, and Tantive 4 are all "At the Printer" right now. That seems like a good amount. What's the issue again?
Edited by Joe CensoredIs something Big coming?
Episode 8 packs...
Single ship Red Squadron A-Wing (I assume it is red squadron from the colouring in the teaser video).
Single ship Kylo Ren Interceptor
Something Big.... 4 ship pack! Battle of "insert name" with Red Squadron T-70 and Blue Squadron A-Wing (again assuming from the video) and two TIEs, (1 or 2 F/O, if 1, another TIE S/F, or if there is a new one outside of Kylo's interceptor)
But I really want a new Rogue One pack ![]()

Perfect opportunity for additional Y-Wing (we still only have four Rebel pilots), X-Wing and TIE Fighter stuff wasted. Don't get me wrong I love the Striker and the U-Wing looks great (but apparently doesn't fly great) but they could have made so much more of it.
It's very odd to me that there was no battle of scarif pack, or a shield generator mat for armada and xwing, or a box set for imperial assault.
I definitely think that the most likely explanation is running out the stock for the distributor switch.
Edited by CryixSo much they could have milked off R1. Would it be too late to do it now? I know I'd love a shield gate map and some additional core fighter love. A R1 big box with a wack of missing crew/pilots for the U-Wing, plus X-Wing Blue Squadron members, X-Wing Fix, Y-Wing pilots, new Y-Wing only turret that actually makes it hard to not just slap TLT on it. Do we need more Tie Fighters? The answer is yes.
Maybe we will get a Scarif kit when Rebels revisits it in the cartoon? This would get us Chopper droid, Hera X-Wing pilot, Ezra Y-Wing pilot, more Sabine.. plus the movie add-ons. Would be one hell of a box... but I'd be excited to get it!
No reason to think we don't see more Rogue One stuff in later waves. We've gotten stuff from TFA over multiple waves too.
They just updated the website.. lots of stuff 'At the Printer' now...
I predict X-wing 2.0 is going to slightly miss the mark and proove unbalanced too...so lets skip that one and move STRAIGHT to X-wing 3.0

Take my money FFG...take it all! Make this game great again....
But uh...maybe also watch the devs this time. Make sure they don't **** up this one too.
2.0 would be amazing. I'm seriously getting burned out on Scumwing: TMG.

This. I guess someone forgot to update the website until they read this page.
Reminds me, I still have a Raider on back order, they need to reprint those. ![]()

I have a weird question and observation. Has anyone noticed that FFG is not releasing reprints to the printers. If you take a look at the page 1/2 of the X-wing ships are out of stock waiting waiting on reprints?
So could I ask if a major update is on the way. What if we got a new box that was just updated templates/dails/pilots that comes with 6 new bases per ship small and 3 new bases per large ship, along with updated texts for older upgrade cards which need new text added. (Fixes like new dails and atk dice for something like a Hwk with new pilot cards and adjusted ablities for ships Like Biggs and Mann) The fans would not need to buy new ships and there is enough templates for every list that is run within 100 point standard (accept 8 Z-95/Tie Fighters/M3a) for epic nab two boxes. The power of this is there are lots of upgrade cards that don't need fixed which work so it would not need to be everything.
If something like that happend and it was 49.99 I think that could fix a lot of problems with bring older ships inline with the power creep at a reasonable price and maybe something cool like a set of plastic templates as fan service. I know I would buy a 1.5 version update if it was reasonable.
I'm suprised you didn't pun the title to, "Is Something Biggs coming?"

Raider on back order? All my local shops seem to have at least 1 of them gathering dust on the shelves.... If you sing my praises I could probably pick one up and ship it to you ![]()
Just did the math. Over the five years I've played this game, I've only spend $2505 plus tax on it. I feel like I've gotten my money's worth out of it. So, I guess I'm ok if they do X-Wing 2.0, it feels like a lot of money down the tubes, but this game would still be way cheaper than Destiny and Armada, and like I said, I've definitely gotten good use out of it!
If they do 2.0 though, I'm gonna miss a few of the old canon ships. You guys know that Disney is unlikely to use those older things right? Yes, Defenders and HWK-290s are canon, but so many new movies are coming out that I doubt X-Wing 2.0 would have time to release any of the old ships like the HWK, Defender, Aggressor, Phantom, Punisher, K-Wing, E-Wing, YT-2400, etc. And we could kiss the Gunboat goodbye for at least another five years.

X Wing 2.0 would almost certainly launch with a conversion kit release (probably 1 conversion kit per faction), which includes everything you need to retrofit your existing miniatures for the new game. All the existing ships would be supported, and you'd only need multiple of the same conversion kits if you have high numbers of the same ships. X Wing 1.0 expansion packs would for a while still be sold in stores, and would be completely usable with X Wing 2.0 with the conversion kit.
Doing it any other way would be madness. FFG doesn't have the printer bandwidth to make new expansions for everything all at once, and they would have a player revolt on their hands if they made worthless everything players had bought up to now.
Edited by Joe Censored7 hours ago, AllWingsStandyingBy said:Whether the game is growing or shrinking depends on:
(1) The rate of players leaving compared to the rate of new players joining
(2) How much of each new wave players buy now compared to an earlier wave
I don't have any numbers, but my anecdotal sense is that both (1) and (2) are decreasing. Whether or not that means X-Wing is at risk of not being as financially viable for FFG is of course an entirely separate question, but it's one that is more concerning than if (1) and (2) were increasing.
Wouldn't the unavailability of several ships at the stores be evidence enough that they are selling? And if product is selling, and doing so for more than you spend producing and distributing it then why would you stop selling it? Also is there any even remotely good reason to believe that X-wing went so quickly from the best selling miniatures game to "at risk of not being as financially viable?" Also there are other early wave ships that have been continuing to reprint and ship during the same time span.
I wouldn't read too much into the status of X-Wing expansions. FFG knows what's out there in the wild, in what quantities, and what they'll need more of sooner rather than later, better than any of us.
I do think that we'll get some major X-Wing announcements at Gen Con, though. Wave 11 is out and the only announced and unspoiled content currently is Guns for Hire, which is cool but also a long-predicted fix box for two of Scum's weakest ships. They need something to stir the legions of X-Wing fans into a frenzy. I'm fully prepared for a one-two punch of major Gen Con announcements plus Force Friday content dropping a week later.
Could it possibly be time for a fourth faction? Smugglers and Scoundrels?
There is a movie just over the horizon starring the most famous scoundrel in Star Wars.
Easy conversion materials for the YTs, new versions of Han, Lando, Chewie, Dash.
Maybe even open the door for some kind of limited cross-faction squadron build rules, letting the Rebellion bring in a Smuggler ship and the Empire bring in a Scum ship. Possibly in the form of contract cards that would have a point cost but also grant the squadron special abilities.
... or maybe they're going to announce Old Republic and Sith subfactions.

You heard it here first.
What would be the difference with the previous core set? Wouldnt it be more logical to gear it with new ship so people are encouraged to buy? Could also be a nice opportunity to fix some of the existing ships...

They are not releasing another core set, they just released one for TFA. We're getting an updated A-wing and Kylo's interceptor blister.
