Question on Reinforcements

By Kunitzu San, in Imperial Assault Campaign

Greetings everyone,

I'm a relatively new player to Imperial Assault, and me and my group absolutely love it! We did have a question for the Rebel Troopers, because we noted that they have a Reinforcement Cost: does that mean that the Troopers, and by extension other Rebel Allies, can be redeployed after they are defeated during a Campaign Mission? And if so, what's the cost?

No, that's more for individual scoring in Skirmish, I believe. Allies in campaign cannot be reinforced, unless some mission mechanic allows it (and I'm not sure if that ever even happens, tbh).

Anyway, the Rebel Troopers are pretty awful in campaign. I'd advise against them in most cases.

Allies cannot be reinforced or redeployed. The reinforcement cost is there for symmetry, for some skirmish abilities, and the new skirmish scoring.

There is one mission though where more Rebel Troopers arrive when the previous ones are defeated. You can't have more than 3 at the same time though.

Ah yeah, that's true. Not really done by threat, though, but with spending "reinforcement tokens".

That's what I thought, but the rules didn't seem to specify as such. Thanks for the clarification!
