I've always been bothered by the model for the Assault Frigate Mk II. I've looked at some of the 3D printed models available but then remembered the older Star Wars Starship Battles game has a "Rebel Assault Frigate". Does anyone know how these two models compare in size? Perhaps a side-by-side photo comparison for extra Internet points!?
Assualt Frigate replacment...
Here you have it compared to the Nebulon B (the one on the far right).

So according to Mel, basically, the Rebel Assault Frigate from SWM is basically a Neb-B replacement in Size.... Far too small for the AF Replacement.
That's good for me to know, too.

Thank you very much!
Something like this? ![]()
They are Tsalt's 3D print from shapeways, shame these specific models no longer are on offer, they are IMHO the best model of the AF1 type V, I've come across (sorry Mel), they are measuring almost 12cm (4,7"ish) in length.
They both came at relativ high cost, but it was totally worth it. ![]()
I have two of Tsalt's Assault Frigates, they're a gorgeous sculpt.
Hey Mel, what could be cool is if you made an AF1 or AF2 based on the Dreadnaught v2 you have in Shapeways. ![]()
You could try a small potato. Aesthetically they are almost identical. And if it dies, you still have a potato.

Add ezbake oven, sour cream, butter, and chives, you've got yourself a tasty snack once it dies.
