How do you change your photo that isn't one of the choices already there because I want to make it something for X-Wing miniatures

You can't.

It was possible in the early days of the forum, but it hasn't been since well before I joined.

I don't know that you could ever upload an image, at least if you could that was even before my time.

However there was once a bunch of X-Wing images you could use, but those were removed for some unknown reason.

Yeah that was allowed for like a week or so then was taken away. I assume because someone picked something obscene or something and they decided it was too much trouble. But a few of us changed and and got to keep it. You also had to have over 1k posts or something IIRC.

Mine for example was because for a week or so I was beating everyone to rules questions, normally simple questions like "can I change all my eyeballs into hits if I use a focus token?" type questions... Then when other people posted (normally with in a second or two of mine) with the same answer it was called being rule ninja'ed, and many people just edited the post with a "Rule 'ed" to avoid confusing someone with 5 different posts saying the same thing.

So when we could change our title I thought that was appropriate.

Hey that's okay man. I haven't been able to competitively represent my title in like 2 years. Ah well. Go Go 0 agility VCX-100s!!!

And when they switched over to the new forum with the god awful white background instead of the easy on your eyes dark gray, there was about 12hours that you could upload a custom image. And then they were all turned off and taken away.

I think it actually was more like 3-6 hours, I was lucky enough to have a slow day so I could check if the forum was back regularly.

yeah when the shifted to the Asmodee system, there was a brief moment in time were we lucky few got to upload our own picture lol

I really wish they'd expand the options they have in their pre-sets though.

Once you reach a hundred likes with no warning points (or some other arbitrary cutoff), I think they should trust you enough to pick your own photo. Besides, they allow photo uploads anyway, so why can't you have one of your uploaded photos be your profile picture?!?

At least add some Destiny pictures or X-Wing pictures, since those are two of their best-selling games!

This whole thing really bothers me.

I love my profile pic. Just sayin.

That's my point though... you and I having the same pic is super confusing for everyone else!

Also, I really like Imperial Assault Chewbacca!

Ooh, also, @thespaceinvader and @VanorDM , kudos for each having more posts than the Gunboat thread! That's not easy to do! Sadly, you also each have more than the entire painting and modifications subforum...

I've been around longer than either of those things.

Actually I've been part of this site since 2011, but I joined for the Deathwatch RPG that FFG had put out, a couple years before X-Wing came out.

It makes me happy that I have nearly as many likes as I do posts.

Most of mine are arguing about barely-relevant things, so thanks, I think. I'd prefer to see more painting and modelling posts though
