Since the damage from the bomb is an effect of the bomb, and Nym is (optionally) ignoring the bomb, he does not take damage.

ETA: That's why Nym + title + Genius is going to be so much fun.

It's the "Mensa ray"build. (He looks like a stingray and he's carrying a genius)

Another Nym question. At the store championship Saturday, I swear I saw Nym drop a bomb off the front of his ship. I didn't think much of it at the time because I hadn't picked my expansions up yet. (Got them today) Is this possible or do I need new specs?

No it's not. Either the player made a mistake, or cheated, or your eyes did :P

You sure he didn't to a talonroll? that's about the only way I see of making it look like it's being dropped out the front.

Not "going to be"; IS so much fun.

I'd suggest the awkward shape of the ship confused someone, either during that game, or you while watching from the sidelines. There is no way for him to actually drop out the front... It's just that his front isn't that distinctive from his back.

That's probably what happened. I picked mine up yesterday and in the first game had to do a double take wondering how the heck I got the thing backwards on the stand. It wasn't but for a brief moment I thought it was.

Not sure. Didn't see the move prior to the drop.

Of the three options, my money is on the last. The two competitors are very well informed on the rules and regs and straight players.

I had one opponent think i dropped it out the front because i did a TRoll and he wasnt paying attention. Course the ship is clearly facing the other way since it has large guns pointing forward so really no excuse for thinking that.

Genius on Nym is intense. Literally no matter what hes getting a bomb off, be it bumping/hitting a rock/debris/red move/ioned. I deliberately flew through rocks to catch people off guard with that bomb several times, or pretended to joust only to slam right into their face and drop a bomb, denying both our shots but i still did bomb damage.

Hes going to be a thorn. Only real drawback is you cant do anything (atm anyway) to make him not as squishy w/o removing his threat in the first place.

Have a wingman drop cluster mines along the path / on top of Nym. He's a lot less squishy with an auto evade during every attack.
