Yay! Epic is finally catching on!
Folks at my FLGS have developed a new half-epic style, where you get 150 points and you have to field a big big ship, but no big big big ships are allowed (meaning, you get a Gozanti, C-ROC, or Rebel Transport). It has a lot of the fun of epic, but you can play more than one game in a night. Here's hoping it'll catch on!

Now that I've totally derailed the thread: TLT sucks. But its the lesser evil to everything else. Eww. Dengar, large base turrets. Scum ships with TOOO many upgrade slots. COUGH. Just like how Palp and x7 were Imperial strongholds.
Nowadays, since the Aggressor doesn't really add that much, I foresee the same scum dominated meta for the next 3 months. MORE jumps. More scurrgs. More bombs. More auto damage. More large base turrets.

Joe, with a C-ROC on the table you don't even need TLTs! Just put Jabba on that C-ROC and then take a whole bunch of Z-95s with Hotshot Blaster and Munitions Failsafe!

Sounds good! To be honest, they tend to be the more interesting ships anyway; it's not just "I haz more gunz #lolturbolasers" but jam, co-ordinate, carrier launches, and other things which add more tactical bits to the game - using a shield projector Bright Hope as a combination bunker and battering ram, for example, to clear the way for a squad, or Suppressor with Tarkin to say 'not today, thank you' to the token-stacking aces.

Unfortunately, finding a good bread and butter pudding is harder than you'd think. Our works canteen listed it on the menu (hence why I was thinking about it). It turned out to be (and I wish I was kidding) toast in custard. Karma caught up with me, I guess.
It's like the average new player's first post in the squad forum: you have the right components there. But you've missed something fundamental in way you've assembled it.
