Both daredevil and slam don't work with Genious. You need to be able to drop the bomb before manoeuvre to trigger astro. You can't when you don't reveal your dial.

Think there needs to be an FAQ before we can say that for definite. Genius says you can drop it in a different part of the turn "instead" but doesn't say that you have to have placed a dial.

Genius doesn't care if you set a dial. It just cares if you have a reveal drop bomb, and if so, lets you drop it with a different timing window. It won't let you drop a reveal bomb before you move if ioned, but nothing stops you from dropping it after the ion move (or daredevil, etc) with genius

Also, un-tested, but I'm pretty sure 3 x JM5Ks will make Nym feel REALLY bad, for the same reasons JM5Ks make other 1 AGI ships feel bad.

Don't put those JM5Ks away yet! There is still a use!

In a store champ, have played Nym Dengar once and Nym Hog Ashoka, in both games Miranda mauled Nym with TLT. Small sample but he seems weak to TLT...

Proven in my games as well as anytime I fought against a Scum Autoblaster Nym, I just range controlled and TLTed with my Rebel Nym and Miranda. He died VERY fast.

Try running Miranda + TLT vs any other 1 AGI platform. Obviviously Miranda comes out on top.

I thought they released the counter to Nym in the "Tie Agressor" and "K-Wing" expansions.

I lost to Dengar Nym too this SC. Made one error in judgement that allowed Nym to get away, and misplayed Cad Bane (rerolled ALL bomb damage every turn... Oops). Should be winnable next time.

Just to make things clear: you cannot fire someone you don't pay. All FFG testers volunteer their time to help the community having better games (a community that should be friendly and not ask for their head on a plate), and they receive company credits equal to the value of the retail product. With only one exception: X-Wing testers don't receive any compensation at all, not even this little amount of credits for their work.

So, the real point should be: they should start paying testers, so that they can quit their regular job and test a few hours every day the new models to give the company an incredible amount of feedback. Which obviously is not happening, as long as there's people ready to work for free and people ready to pay for the minis even if they aren't properly balanced.

This said, if you believe you're able to perform on higher levels than local tournaments and bragging on the internet, I'd suggest you to apply for a position as tester for the line (link). I'm sure you're ready to work all your w-ends, say goodye to gf or family and be happy to pass on-line and read a moron's comments suggesting you should be fired because one ship could be OP (and how's possible not to acknowledge that? With a few hundreds pilots flying around, it's certain that all possible combos are properly tested before going on the market)

(and nope, I'm not testing the line, I'm just pissed by the attitude of some individuals. It's a game, not your life's savings being burned in a chimney)

Nym is a good counter to low with bomb dmg

Low spreads the damage or counters tlt spam with many evades

Well, LightWeight Frame is SORT of a TLT counter. Always active vs TLT ships, even Range 3.

Eh, fly TLT Nym with bombletts is already 39

Asuming you don't utterly waste your system slot, youre looking at 41 for fcs or 43 for sensors. Basically, you're almost at 2 sienar specialists with TLT and they'll win on dice alone (1 agi Nym n all)

poor gressor just isn't as cool or versatile as Nym, but they will kick his ***
