So, we noticed yesterday that Gaius is second in line on the succession order at the back of the rulebook, but third in line at the start of the game. This means that if Gaius and Zarek are in the same game, Zarek gets the presidency, but should he subsequently lose it, it effectively skips Gaius.
Does anyone know if this is deliberate, or should the order be the same in both parts of the book? If the latter, what is the correct order?
As a further question - my understanding is you follow the line of succession from top to bottom, even if there are characters in play who are higher up the list. For example, if Roslin loses the presidency to Zarek as a result of someone using administration to trigger an election, but then Zarek is revealed as a cylon, Roslin does not get the presidency, it goes to the next character in the list after Zarek. Is that correct?
