So had a game the other day and got I to a disagreement.

The FAQ says that snipe worked with Controllers to get the extra die. I believe Howelrunner also works with snipe so if you so it right you can snipe with 6. Now let's say you activate Colonel Jendon with Controllers the uses his ability to snipe with Saber squadron? My thoughts would be 5... 4 from his attack and 1 from Howelrunner he does not get the ability from the controllers. The person I was playing with said that with Jendon can't use the snipebecause it is an ability. And should not get the boost from Howelrunner so on the standard attack with Saber I should only roll 5 if controllers is used and with Jendon should be a standard attack not snipe. Who is right?

When Saber Squadron is activated by a ship (either directly, or through relay ), then it will gain the benefit of Flight Controllers.

When Saber Squadron is attacking a squadron, if Howlrunner is at distance 1 of Saber Squadron, then it will gain Howlrunner's benefit of +1 die as well.

When you use Jendon's ability to "make Saber Squadron Shoot, even if they had already been activated", then you do not gain the Benefit of Flight Controllers, as Flight Controllers only count during the activation in which Saber Squadron is being activated by a Ship...

But you can Snipe with Saber Squadron with Jendon's Ability - as Jendon allows you to make an attack, and Snipe is an attack .

Snipe is an attack. It's extra range is granted by the keyword, but it is still an attack, so everything that modifies an attack will work with snipe, including Howl. Flight controllers won't work with Jendon, tough, either with snipe or otherwise, as flight controllers state that the squadron gets the extra die until the end of its activation, and when you attack using Jendon, that is done with; Jendon is the activated squadron.

so a snipe attack will benefit from Howl and flight controllers; a snipe via Jendon activation will benefit from Howl, but not flight controllers.

Believe it or not, I'd only been on for about 10 minutes when I saw that...

And about 20 minutes after it, I left to get some maintenance done on the wife's car, and only just returned now...

So there was a solid few hours without me...
