I think it's more a case of drawing an evade from intensity and using whisper's attack-that-hit focus to 'restock it' (since the latter is a more flexible but less useful token).
It's much the same with Poe - BB-8, use intensity to evade, manoeuvre, use action to focus, don't spend the focus and restock intensity with the evade - essentially giving the T-70 the evade action it shouldn't normally have (whether that's better than regen is a matter of taste; it's better when you're on 1 hit point and versus "attack that hits" triggers, worse against no-dice modifiers like 4-LOM, omega leader and homing missiles)
But ultimately:
- Spending a Cloak token to decloak has 'nested in it' a barrel roll.
- Whilst it uses the speed 2 straight (or bank if you're echo) this is a barrel roll to all intents and purposes.
- Unfortunately, Intensity specifically name-checks a boost/barrel roll action , which decloaking isn't. Expert Handling, BB-8, and R7-T1 are fine. Sadly decloaking isn't.
- Fortunately we do get Stygium Particle Accelerator, which does essentially the same thing for the same cost on non-elite Generic phantoms (if anyone used them).
That's....a fair point thinking about R7-T1. If you've got an astromech slot and an elite slot, R7-T1 lets you react to being in someone's arc at range 1-2 by spending an action to boost and target lock and focus. That's a nasty combination, especially because it's fairly cheap (5 points all-up), doesn't stress you, is probably pushing you to range 1 and hasn't touched your modification slot.
