Ryad,quickdraw and a palpmobile

By Velvetelvis, in X-Wing Squad Lists

I'm in an awful list building funk.

Here's a probably stupid idea I have.please let me know how dumb.

Quickdraw-adaptability,title,fire control system, lightweight frame

Ryad-Push the limit the limit, hull upgrade(or stealth device...whichever is less stupid)

Omicron pilot- uncle wrinkly,collision detector.

I guess I'm stuck in the old Palp aces, or Commonwealth mindset.

I can't find any list in the game I am excited to play anymore.

What about this? I don't really play imps, but I think this is decent. Hopefully this gives u some ideas.

Darth Vader(36) [Darth Vader(29), Engine Upgrade(4), Advanced Targeting Computer(5), TIE/x1(0), Juke(2)]

"Omega Leader"(26) ["Omega Leader"(21), Juke(2), Comm Relay(3)]

Starkiller Base Pilot(38) [Starkiller Base Pilot(30), Emperor Palpatine(8)]

Palp in a shuttle (or Upsilon) is not really a good idea. It never was really that great of an idea, but people could get away with it when the majority of enemy lists were 2-3 ship builds and Palp was way too good for its cost. Now that the card is reigned in, you actually cannot expect your 2 aces to just fly at 100 points of enemy and come out on top. For that reason, I suggest dropping the palpmobile for an actual 3rd ship that is going to do consistent damage and not die too quick.

If you like TIE defenders, and TIE/sf, then you can't go wrong combining the two. For example:

Ryad w/ PTL, x-7 & TIE mk 2 = 36

2 Omega Specialists w/ crackshot, FCS, title, LWF & sensor cluster = 32 each

100

Its an easy list to fly since it wants to joust and all your ships are PS 5. They all hit fairly hard and none will die when sneezed at. You may struggle against mobile higher PS aces unless you are good at blocking (any of your ships can be used for this purpose if really needed, although its not their main strength). Mindlink Fenn may be a problem unless you space your ships (meaning at different range bands----so your opponent cannot control the ranges so easily). Crackshot will be a huge boon against him, though, so all in all, its a solid list with no real bad matchups...

I'd switch sensor cluster to pattern analyzer so you can sloop and focus when Ryad K turns
