Took Intensity Poe for his first flight last night and he survived three 5-die Cruise Missiles in one round. :D

That's just rude.

I stand corrected! Bravo to you (EDIT: and to @Ravncat )!

Wait...did someone on these forums just accept the evidence-based arguments of someone else even though they contradict the popular conception of the meta?!?!?!?

Wht...what...you're supposed to obstinately argue your point for no good reason dammit!

I'm looking to run a thematic Black Squadron (comic version) list with Intensity Poe:

  • PS 9 Poe- 33 (41)
    • Black One 1
    • BB-8 2
    • Primed Thrusters 1
    • Intensity 2
    • Autothrusters 2
  • Jake- 24 (32)
    • A-Wing Test Pilot 0
    • Intesity 2
    • VI 1
    • Autothrusters 2
    • Cruise Missiles 3
  • Jess- 25 (26)
    • R2 Astro 1
    • Integrated Astro 0

Total: 99

My plan is to squint real hard and pretend Jake is L'ulo

I think I might have found the list I want to run. Thanks!

Haha you are welcome

This would be a ton of fun :)

Poetensity Aggresity (97)
Poe Dameron (PS9) — T-70 X-Wing 33
Intensity 2
BB-8 2
Primed Thrusters 1
Autothrusters 2
Black One 1
Ship Total: 41

Han Solo (TFA) — YT-1300 46
Rage 1
Inspiring Recruit 1
Kanan Jarrus 3
Engine Upgrade 4
Millennium Falcon (TFA) 1
Ship Total: 56

Haha thats the Han Solo build i have been wanting to try since Recruit popped up and just never got around to it.

The problem with LW Regen Luke was never his defense :P

More likely he didnt pull his weight offensively, the rest of the list dies, he is left alone, maybe survives to end game, but (before Vector Thrusters) not mobile enough or too predictable to actually pull off the end game he desired to be in.

I haven't tried it, and I didn't see it anywhere else. I just thought it would be fun to position Han well away from Poe so they both converge from different directions. As long as Han doesn't need the title S loop next turn he can rage and then clear his 2 stress with a white maneuver next turn. Alternatively he can choose another action the prior turn, like boost, and then title S loop, clear stress, rage, and then clear the next turn with a white maneuver. Should be fun! It also comes in pretty cheap points wise for a PS 9 YT-1300 with EU and a pretty good 3 point bid.

This

I never understood why his ability is a defensive perk when his most known flying skill is ONE HELL OF A PRECISION SHOT

This fits perfectly with my expertise Dash build!

T-70 X-Wing: · Poe Dameron (33)
Intensity (Exhausted) (2)
· BB-8 (2)
Autothrusters (2)
· Black One (1)
Primed Thrusters (1)

YT-2400: · Dash Rendar (36)
Expertise (4)
Heavy Laser Cannon (7)
Smuggling Compartment (0)
· Rey (2)
· Outrider (5)
Counter-Measures (3)
Scavenger Crane (2)

I like the idea of giving TFA Han a Cruise Missile.

It just sounds like it'd be both fun and rude, which is basically how I've always felt X-Wing should be played.

There is the 3 points open in that build for it :D It does sound fun.

Cruise Missiles to me are the ultimate "round 2" attack, which fat ships and FCS users are great at.

Initial round, approach casually so you dont get blasted to bits on the joust. Ensure before you get too far away to get a TL somewhere, turn around, come screaming back in with a Cruise Missile + Focus.

I believe you can still S-loop the turn after raging as long as you have Kanan. You clear the stress then activate title turning 180, then you receive another stress. You won't be able to rage again, but the option is available to you if you needed it.

Okay I know I said "we should look at 2 ships to partner with Poetensity," BUT I can't help being super thematic with this setup.

Poe (9) w/ Intensity, BB-8, Black One, Primed Thrusters, and Autothrusters

Rey w/ Adaptibility, Millennium Falcon (TFA), Finn, Kanan Jarrus, Smuggling Compartment, Scavenging Crane, and Counter Measures

But how will it do against the Dengar Nym and other Scum lists set to terrorize the tables?

Great question!.......We'll see ;)

I now have a reason to buy a Tie Agressor

Agreed, however, were seeing almost no hyper maneuverability anymore... without soontir or the likes, he does well in endgame here.

It kind of breaks my heart that I can take a PS10 Nym which is probably better than a PS9 Poe for 2 points less...

Poe Dameron (PS9) (33)
Intensity (2)
BB-8 (2)
Primed Thrusters (1)
Autothrusters (2)
Black One (1)

Captain Nym (Rebel) (30)
Veteran Instincts (1)
Autoblaster Turret (2)
Bomblet Generator (3)
Advanced Sensors (3)
"Genius" (0)
Long-Range Scanners (0)
Havoc (0)

On TFA Han, however, you've got a good chance of being able to set up for the round one Cruise Missile shot. And, if your opponent wasn't thinking about it when they setup, you can almost guarantee it, due to Han's unique placement rules.

I mean, you likely die right after, but Cruise Missiles are awesome.

I don't think Advanced Sensors/Genius Nym works as well in Rebels. It works great in Scum because he loves smashing into people and dropping bombs. Rebel Nym is not going to appreciate that, or he's going to use his ability to stop the bomb from exploding... meaning everyone is already getting out of dodge.

I think I'd drop the title and slap Sabine on there, try and finagle something that way.

A few weeks ago I made a video of it in action.

Valid question. Maybe after I get done with my bombing shenanigans.
