I thought I was alone in doing this.

You took your ships with you on the honeymoon trip? Are you still married?

I did, and I am! She might have been less forgiving had I not won the darn thing.

I got told I'd been working hard lately so I could get two of each.

Edit: she even went with me tough get them, excuse me now while I roll in piles of wookies

I'm trying to figure out how to avoid my wife noticing the $150 missing. No way am I voluntarily showing her the evidence and asking her what she thinks.

Coworker of mine (ukranian, I think?) showed up at the paintball field one day with a brand new paintball marker that was really sweet. Probably around $500. We all gasped because we thought he had gotten a divorce or something as his wife was SUPER controlling of his money and hobbies. He said casually "she don't know what I do wit my bonus". I don't think we've all laughed so hard. Lesson learned - Marriage tip #1 is figure out how to internally launder money.

My wife was completely indifferent as I spent a gift card to get 1 of each ship. She did like the Wookie ship though. Wohoo!

My wife doesn't care how I spend my free income and likes that I have a hobby since it's important to have things you do outside of always couple time. I don't pull money from our joint account for my personal hobby so her reaction is just mild interest in what new ships I got. I taught her the game so she knows enough to be engaged in conversation but doesn't overly enjoy playing but that's good enough for me.

I got my X-wing habits (gaming+podcasting+mission development) into my girlfriend's good graces by getting her involved. I gave her a juicy role in one of the promotional audio dramas I made for my gencon narrative event. (She's Killjoy 7/ Captain Gethis). She had a great time doing those roles, since she did a bunch of theater when she was in high school.

I always pay cash at the game store. My wife has only seen my Auzituck so far. She wasn't impressed.

Happy Weekend and happy friday to you crazy peoples. This weekends question was brought up when I asked my wife what she thought about the Wave 11 ships. The answer was really funny that she thought the gunship looked like a poo rocket and Wookies live on Tatoonie. She did like the Scrggg bomber so that is something.

So the question is ask your a special person to you what they think of the wave 11 ships and report the findings.

"You spent HOW MUCH on those Star Wars toys of yours?!"

I got married 5 months ago and went to Iceland for my honeymoon. My wife suggested I play in the Reykjavik Regionals while we were there.

This seems like a test. It was a test right!?!

I removed the evidence by clearing the ships from their packaging at the office before taking the ships home...

I've resorted to similar tactics in the past as well, but FFG screwed me releasing an Armada wave so close to an x-wing wave. It's a much more noticeable chunk of change missing.

My partner is my main gaming partner and loves the Scurgg. I, the Empire player however, am bored and disappointed with the Aggressor. I'd rather something non-TIE-like and different to be honest.

I'm sorry.

I have shown my new ships to my girlfriend and she has been alternating between either saying she is trying to mentally block it out or sarcastically replying that this must be "nice for ship lovers" - all with a teasing smile☺️ She have even patiently played a game with me once, but alas thsi game it is not for she.

She is fine with me using the money for it, as she usually remarks she can then use an equivalent (in reality larger) amount on shoes - this works.
