Happy Friday, what does your spouse/boyfriend/girlfriend/other important person/parents/ that dont game, in your life think of wave 11 ships x-wing

By Cubanboy, in X-Wing

Happy Weekend and happy friday to you crazy peoples. This weekends question was brought up when I asked my wife what she thought about the Wave 11 ships. The answer was really funny that she thought the gunship looked like a poo rocket and Wookies live on Tatoonie. She did like the Scrggg bomber so that is something.

So the question is ask your a special person to you what they think of the wave 11 ships and report the findings.

I'm trying to figure out how to avoid my wife noticing the $150 missing. No way am I voluntarily showing her the evidence and asking her what she thinks.

That is why I show my wife the new wave news when it drops and do 10 a week into savings, No fights when there is a reminder weekly about it.

My wife is mildly interested in the idea of a TIE with a turret. She loves TIEs for some reason. Don't know if she'd fly it though.

Unsolicited comments:

The Wookiee ship is SOOO cuuuute! (the last word spoken with increasingly high-pitched squeal) - (mostly because it theoretically contains a teeny little furball family);

(In reference to the TIE/ag) Don't you already have heaps of those? (I have 48 other TIE's of various kinds).

Which is to say, not enough.

Agreed - that's why I bought 4 Aggies.

.....similar here too, "don't you already have some of those thingies?"

My fiancee had a stronger reaction to the "yet another f***ing grey triangle" from Wave 6 of Armada.

She says I'm going to need to keep my "monochromatic pizza slices" in the car if this keeps up.

Yeah - and of course the answer is:

"Nooo - look closer, this one is not like the others."

"Do these mean you're going to win for a change?"

I'd ask my wife, but she's at Evo this weekend. We've got some athletes there...

Insufficient. A Star Destroyer carries 72. Where did you misplace the rest of your command, Captain?

They are out on Recon missions!

"Oh god, more of these plastic ships?"

'MORE SHIPS?! I swear honey, one of these days I will crush a ship in front of you to make a point'

'Point taken dear.., which bag did you fancy again last week?'

True story

I got married 5 months ago and went to Iceland for my honeymoon. My wife suggested I play in the Reykjavik Regionals while we were there.

My father saw Star Wars on opening night.

In 1977.

The only opening night he's missed was Revenge of the Sith.

The Tie Ag looks like a reasonable tie to him. He compared it to a Tie Bomber instead of Advance, though.

That's fair enough. The TIE Aggressor is essentially an Imperial 'clone' of the Y-wing, and the Y-wing's (previously) closest imperial equivalent is the TIE bomber.

My geckos are fine with them. I gave them locusts and they held zero interest in my new spaceships.

My wife's reaction to Wave XI:

Auzituck: 'Just meh... All right, it's ugly. Any interesting cards there?'

TIE Aggressor: 'That one looks good, I like TIEs.'

Scurrg: 'It's different. This one gets second place, right behind the Tie.'

An Imperial family is a happy family ;-D

My wife couldn't care less.

She completely zones out at the mere mention of X-Wing.

I'm looking forward to the divorce.

You took your ships with you on the honeymoon trip? Are you still married?

I removed the evidence by clearing the ships from their packaging at the office before taking the ships home...
