Alright everyone, with GENCON just over a month away, what do we thibk the big X-Wing announcement is gonna be this year? We all know it will most likely be Wave 12, but I am also hoping for the second Scum Epic ship along with maybe another Ace's or Veterans Pack. What are the communities thoughts?

I don't believe in a second epic *** ship already.

Its hard to say really, I am sure wave 12 will be a Ep8 wave, but are FFG allowed to reveal anything yet? We know there will be new A-wings, Kylo Rens fighter, Those big Resistance bombers. Lego also just got some Ep 8 sets spoiled. I won't mention what it was here, but there was another unseen Ep 8 ship there too.

Could be a big X-wing Gencon, could be really disappointing in that they are not allowed to reveal any Ep 8 stuff yet.

If they follow the pattern of waves 8 and 10; 3 or 4 ships that have no connection to The Last Jedi will be announced, with 2 movie ships added to the wave after Force Friday.

Looking at the lego spoilers, it looks cool.

You can more or less garuantee the resistance bomber will be part of it.

Also, the First Order destroyer has an eeeeevil BB unit in it (BB-9E).

I hope we get a big base bomber in the resistance bomber. That would be something new. But for the rest of the Ep 8 Lego stuff I am really underwhelmed. Its just so conservatively safe.

All Episode 8 related products will be announced on Force Friday II, 1st September 2017. See http://www.starwars.com/news/star-wars-force-friday-ii-coming-september-1-2017 for details.

FFG will likely announce Wave 12 at GenCon. It will almost certainly be 1 Rebel, 1 Imperial, 1 Scum.

Then - on Force Friday II - Episode 8 ships (Resistance A-Wing, Resistance Bomber, Kylo's TIE) will be added to the wave.

Just like with The Force Awakens in 2015.
Just like with Rogue One in 2016.

Simples.

I'd be surprised if we don't get a wave 12 announcement before then. Scarif campaign pack for sure*.

Me too. In all likelihood someone will snap a pic of a wave 12 presentation and leak it on Reddit. Then FFG will rush out an announcement article.

I'd be surprised just because going a month without a wave announcement seems unlikely. But then, I wasn't expecting to see even pre-release of wave 11 until GenCon, so WTF do I know right now?

Ok realistic prediction:

Rebels - some 1 agility rubbish that is only viable flown next to Biggs

Imperial - another TIE variant

Scum - a horrifically undercosted 3/3/5/5 monstrosity with all the upgrade slots and a PS3 elite generic

New A-Wing (which will just be the old one with T-Rolls and a Tech slot) and Kylo's Interceptor to be added post FF.

A Scarif campaign pack would be cool and it would be an awesome start to seeing other campaign packs for the Battles of Yavin, Endor, Starkiller Base, and maybe even a Jakku pack. I really doubt they would leave Scum out for a second Epic Ship an from what we know there are 5-6 open SKU's so it has to be one of them. But we shall see, either way the Community will go nuts like it does every GenCon announcement. Another item is what they are going to do about system opens since there will be no Star Wars Celebration next year supposedly.
