Workable, but clumsy. Best bet is to go ahead and just size it down to fit better on a large base as it does not have any other characteristics that mark it as an epic ship.

For the Rebels, they will announce an epic hammerhead corvette. Maybe titled "Heroes of Scariff"? It will include two models, the corvette and a T-65 X-wing in Blue Squadron colors. It will come with two dozen upgrades, among them will be the fix for T-65s and a K-2SO crew card.

As per Wookieepedia, the Gauntlet comes in too different Models, one that is roughly 68 meters long and then onr that is 52 meters long, and really the main cabin of the **** isn't that big its just that mandalorians like adding wingspan to their vessels.

Now the YV-666 is 62 meters long and immensely scaled down to fit the large base so it would be possible to see it in X-Wing.

Think also on how large the Ghost model is and how ir needs its own special peg, it is about the same length or longer as both the aforementioned vessels. Plus you can dock the attack shuttle AND two starfighters to each docking ramp so size is not an issue with FFG.

it seems like we have to clarify this once a week, but the Hound's Tooth is canonically 47 meters. the 62 meter length is based on old legends stuff.

No no, the X-wing will be the Black/white one used by Saw Guerra's soldiers, open the X-wing up for the Scum faction and fix it big time ;)!
