I rarely post but I'm looking at stuff 10 times a day in the forums lol ....... was just wondering if FFG did a limited edition art work book for all there Star Wars cards art not cheap.... like $100 high quality and had little nuggets about the artists is that something people would be interested in?????? Mabey also inculude a micro USB drive with high quality images so we can have the best changing backgrounds ever on our computers ever !!!! I just think it would be a awesome hat tip to the artists ..... let's all root for this and make it happen !!!!
FFG Star Wars art work book!!!!!
I'd be down for two options - $10 for digital art only, or $100 for a nice hardcover book. The art is amazing, but I'm personally not going to pay much for it.
FFG tends to have a bad reputation for the conditions they offer to artists (not like they are alone with that in the boardgame industry). Something like this could be a good opportunity to give them recognition and a better source of revenue.
A bit less punctuation marks will also do it
Judging from the content, a question mark would actually be more appropriate.

Yar, I was pretty sure this was going to be a topic about an announcement or leak, based on the structure of the title.
Instead, I feel like Admiral Ackbar up in here.
I would be very down for an art book. hard cover 12x12 book with all the star wars card art from Destiny, X-Wing, LCG, Imperial Assault, and Armada that has been released to date, including some concept art would be something I would display proudly! No matter how mad the wife gets for having that sit on the mantel. It wouldn't be cheap, I'd pay 80-120 for it if it had the content. It would need to feature and credit the artists. Would be even better if they allowed some of the awesome fan art to be included.

Yeah, this would presume that the artists would get a cut of the royalties for having their work appear in the book. If it's just another source "exposure," then I'd say skip it. Exposure doesn't pay for paints.

I'm assuming you've seen this?
It's an interesting idea! I think the price should be lower. Magic: The Gathering sells art books for $40.00 each. FFG's might need to be more expensive due to a smaller market (maybe? It is Star Wars), but hopefully not greater than $20.00 more.
thats awesome @PhantomFO I haven't seen it no.
I'm a photographer myself and I've had some awesome interactions regarding pricing, just hilarious ones. My price for a wedding on my site was $2500. Had an inquiry wanting way more but offered only $250 because I don't have a lot of my website right now and they would allow me to use the images. Pass!
I would buy this, but I tend to be one of "those" collectors anyway - I have several EVE online and a bunch of Star Wars concept-art books that I buy as they come out, regardless if I think I'll have time to read them anytime soon. They are awesome for flipping through when I have 10 minutes free and don't want to be overly bogged down.

For a minute there ! thought the instigator of the work was talking to an Architect, but then, I saw they wouldn't work for nothing, so, they're obviously not ....haha!

That was pretty funny, and now I feel embarrassed for asking for a lower price point immediately after (though it was guided by the market). I have to admit I see both sides of the issue -- bearing in mind that the examples in the link were extreme, if not uncommon. The worker deserves his wages, and that's not greed. But some people are doing a hobby project, know they have no money, and hope to find another hobbyist who's skilled and might come to share their vision. I don't think there's anything wrong with that, either.
I'm thinking of someone putting together a video game mod team versus a company making a video game. They might require the same skills and the same amount of work, but one can offer pay and the other can't. I don't think there's anything wrong with that; people just need to make the choices most appropriate for their circumstances in terms of what they are willing to work for, and what they are willing to pay for -- with grace in all interactions and an understanding of the reasonable outcomes of their decisions.
I feel I should offer a disclaimer: I know at least two professional freelance artists (one a photographer, one an -- artist artist), and I myself am technically trying to become a paid artist through writing. I think it's the coolest thing in the world if they're successful in their endeavours. I won't ask my friend to photograph anything for me, because I know I couldn't afford him and I respect that (hopefully my circumstances will change by the time I, say, get married!). I can't ask my other friend to draw anything for me, either, because I don't have much disposable income these days. I hope to be able to commission something from him someday, because I'd love to support his work. (The corollary is that each has set his price too high to market to me ... but that's okay, as long as he's able to market to others.)

Can this please be a thing?
If it was $100 I'd want it to be a proper massive tome, with say 4-9 pics a page, and certain larger prints, including art from the sourcebooks, miniatures games, and card game.
