I have a Store Champs on this weekend and I have been unable to get any practice with the list I had been indending to run. How does this look to everyone that has managed to get some games in with the Quasar?

Why rapid launch bays and boarding troops on the Quasar?

The idea being that it will carry the bombers to prevent them getting pinned down by enemy SQNs. The boarding troopers will trigger off discarding a SQN token, exhaust the targets defense tokens and then the Quasar will fire on the ships to soften it up before moving and resolving a SQN dial using the Flight Commander. This will pop the bombers out within range to hammer the target without having to move.

I agree with Milienius I'm not seeing the point with the RLB and Boarding troops there. Quasar sort of begs to be taking Flight Controllers. If you're going to push all your squads with the flotillas and the ISD why do you even need the Quasar? The RLB trick isn't that good to only be bringing the one "proper" warship.

With that plan I'd think you'd want the Avenger title on the ISD.

Deploy 2 of the Gozantis protecting one of the Quasars Flanks then the ISD protecting the other and suppressor in the spot where he is likely to trigger stay at speed one on all ships keep squadrons at distance two of stronghold it worked pretty well

Is it just me or did you post 322 total fleet points? I think it might be 391. (Pardon me if I am wrong, I'm doing this in my head and not with a calculator)

Not just you, I processed the list on Warlords before I added the Gozanti's. I manually added them, but forgot to adjust the points total. I should be 391...

I've not tried it on the table yet, but have been playing around with RLB builds, especially around the Quasar. I don't know if it's actually a great thing to do, but it certainly seems like a fun thing to do. Pushed around a few ships on Vassal the other day and being able to fly up and drop a bunch of squads right where they're needed without the fear of being blocked along the way is cool.

It does seem like it would be enjoyable.
