Considering how much noise it was making on the ship, and how little it was making in the box, I'm sure the intent was for audience to wonder if there was just going to be a bundle of rags and bones in there.

Pretty good finale. After the warp speed last couple episodes, this slower paced, almost plodding episode was a nice change.

A bunch did happen though. I'm glad Petyr got played as turning Sansa and Arya against each other wouldn't have made much sense. He did go out like a *****, which was sort of disappointing.

I take it Tormund and Beric were on the one section of the wall that didn't collapse, but they are kind of stuck up there.

yeah, Petyr was a little cry baby when he got put on the spot with what he was doing. He was so cocky up to that moment then the crap came down on him. I would say Sansa was talking to Bran behind the scenes and was waiting to see what Petyr's next play was going to be then turn on him when he tried to pit her against Arya. Sansa was too smart to think that Arya wanted to be lady of Winterfell.

Jon's name is "Aegon", which was a dumb move because Rhaegar already had a son with Elia Martel named Aegon. Lyanna could have named him Rhaegar after his father, but naming him Aegon in the show aligns with the dragons and unification theme.

Tormund and Beric ran along the top of the wall instead of down, so they are stuck until they go West enough to get to another castle to climb down.

The fake Sansa, Arya conflict felt kinda pathetic to me. I think they could have done more to try and convince us that Sansa and Arya might turn on eachother; but I loved its conclusion

Baelish going out like that is exactly how I imagined someone like himself going out. I know a lot of people liked him; but I did not so I am very happy to see him finally gone.

My only disappointment with the Sansa Little Finger arc, was that she should have been the one to lop off his head. As the Lady of Winterfell, her duty was to carry out the death sentence. The series started with Ned explaining why it was the lord's duty to carry out justice. It would have been much cooler if Sansa had fully assumed the mantle of power and done there deed herself.

That said, it was a very satisfying scene.

Pretty sure Ned only teached his sons this lesson. As Sansa had said he tried to protect his girls and didn't want them to see how dirty the world really was.

I would bet a lot that season 8 starts with them arriving and telling Edd what happened.

Yeah, I don't think Beric or Tormund would get a blink-and-you'll-miss-it or off screen death t this point, not after surviving the raid last week.

As for Baelish.. well, I was a little underwhelmed. I knew it would all catch up to him in the end, but I was expecting a bit more than that. He was thoroughly clowned, and I was hoping for a better "gotcha" moment for him.

I don't know. I think it was a perfect way for him to go. Snivvling on the floor and getting his throat slashed mid-sentence as he tries to weasel his way out of it.

I liked this one because it was just Bran and Sansa going "no, you're awful, time to die".

It was simple. You don't have to be fancy when you have the 3-eyed raven on your side.

So Jaime has left Lannister power behind in both the books and the show now. That's interesting. Do we still think he's the one to choke out Cersei?

So where the **** is Jaime going to go? North? Is he going to try and recruit some of the Lannister armies to his side?

Yeah, I think Jaime will ultimately kill Cersei. That or Arya. Of course I could also envision a scenario where Cersei escapes Kings Landing somehow. You know sequel series and all.

Maybe not. One theory I heard that might have credence now is that she dies in childbirth. Make the baby be a dwarf for best irony.

Yeah I hope it starts that way, followed by a mass retreat to Winterfell. Of course a lot of season 8 will also depend on the movements of the Night King and his over all strategy

I was certain it would be revealed that Baelish was also a "faceless" man, that's how he was able to sneak around and set up Arya. But I am glad that he is dead. It would have made me sad to see Sansa and Arya at odds after all that the Starks have been through.

I think it will be revealed that the baby isn't his and he will run his sword through the back of another occupier of The Iron Throne.

I highly doubt he isn't the father. Who else could it possibly be?

Euron Greyjoy. We know that she has no issue with being unfaithful (she was banging her nephew when Jamie was in captivity). I doubt that Euron would be very loyal without some assurances that he would get what he wants in the end. Even if Cersei has no intention of marrying him after the war, I'm sure she would have no issue banging him to keep him in line, and the competition would potentially keep Jamie in line as well.
