Maarek's Heroes

By EmperorJay03, in Star Wars: Armada Fleet Builds

I feel like this list would be a load of fun with Imperial Aces but I am not quite sure if it's competitive enough. I know, 3 activation, not many. However, I have beefed up the 3 ships that I do have and if I can keep the formation tight and balanced, I can come out swinging and maneuver with JJ aboard the Avenger. Using JJ to drift into position for a 1-2 punch on a large ship and try to force my opponents early tactics by moving obstacles around.

Has anyone run a similar list? Or is most of the local meta 3-5 activation? It is quite challenging getting an ISD II and an Interdictor to play well with each other points wise...

If you have a dictor, I feel targeting scramblers is a must.....

So as slicer tools on a Tua Supressor.

Two good points @Darth Lupine and @Norell. Would you suggest dropping down to a Suppression Refit Dictor to include Scrambler or just rock the Combat Refit with Scrambers?

I did have a version with Tua and Slicer Tools but switched it back. Slicer Tools may be the better way to go.

I would drop the Dictor altogether....but if you want to use it, the main reason is the experimental slots, and if so, take the one with two and use both slots! Otherwise, why take a dictor at all?

Is there no way to effectively fit a ISD2 and an Interdictor into a list with support and fighters? Too much to ask for :p, haha. Probably would help to drop some aces and include some general Ties ;)

I'd rather not drop the dictor but I certainly don't disagree swapping out the Combat for the Suppressor to get those two slots.

I ran a similar list with Comms and Suppressor dictor in a casual game against a rebel list and cleaned house but that was a casual game and not quite a store tourney worthy game.

I ran Avenger with a Sup Interdictor and two Gozs at a store champ yesterday.

I only took two TIE-In, Black squadron and a TIE-Ad as cover.

Thoughts:

Targetting Scramblers are amazing

G8s are great against Hammerheads

OP tap for Avenger is horrible but tough to set-up

Need to make some changes but not sure where. My Wave 6 stuff arrives soon so I'll have another go - really want to make the INT work.

[edit: came 12th lost 5-6, 4-7 and won 6-5]
