It's too late! Like a Shadow in My City, I have already seen this and updated various charts accordingly! Muahahaha!!!!
Dawn of Rebellion Sourcebook
So, I went back through all three Dawn articles to see if there were any tidbits we might have missed. The first preview has a picture of Rex, titled Clone Trooper. I'm pretty sure that's the image of the iconic Retired Clone Trooper (and really, who could be more iconic for that role ?). However, curiously, a little further down is a picture of Leia, titled "Young Leia." The interesting thing is that this picture is done in the same style as a specialization picture.
Now, obviously, whatever specialization this is being used for isn't going to be called the "Young Leia" specialization . But it has to be something that Leia herself would have. So what could it be? Noble? Envoy? Logician? Maybe something a bit sneakier, like Cell Operator?
I guess we'll see in two weeks!

I'm hoping noble / rebel leader... Seems that that would fit her to a T
This supports my idea that universal specs will become backgrounds. If that's true i bet its noble.
I would have thought that anything Leia needed would have been covered by Politico - but I guess not!
Your right if you think of her just as an OT character. However part of her being so instrumental to the rebellion was her connections...

This could be matched in the picture of 'Old Hondo' that appears to be titled 'swr10_specialisation-pirate' found here . I know very little about FFG's inner product coding/workings, but that could be another 'Archetype Spec'. This gives us potentially Retired Clone Trooper, Noble, Pirate, with four more to reflect on; I'm looking forward to the answers.
I hope we also get noble's antithesis something like street urchin

I was already assuming the Pirate, actually . I didn't mention it because I thought we'd already decided it was a given .

I may have missed that bit of the thread. Sorry for trying to look clever, I'll pay attention next time! I'm just rather excited for the release of this one, I think it bodes well for the future of the line, suggests we aren't just going to be dropped off the deep end like some other RPGs.

Clone troopers used them in the Clone Wars TV show but they used them as glorified parachutes. We've never actually seen jet packs used en mass on the battlefield in a Star Wars film or show.
Jet packs are used in almost all of the Mandoloran plot arcs in Clone Wars and Rebels. They don’t run out of fuel quickly, they work in high altitudes, and they work in space.
Well, we're exactly one week out. Who's gonna be our spoiler? It's about that time !
It's a big responsibility: first book released in over four months, AND the first Era book? Hopefully whoever it is is up to the task!
Edited by Absol197Young Senatorial?
Someone working for the Republic Senate but also linked to the Rebel Alliance?
Still remember that scene in Rogue One where they were meeting discussing the revelation of Jedha's destruction.
That might be your second AoR career?
I wonder about the possible second FoD one?
Inquisitor related maybe?
Unlikely but nice to read what you've been discussing though!

No, this is a Given:
Also, I want to know why my Google image results for Givin return this as one of the hits:

Ugh. I just realized that the Given look like a cross between the Scream mask and Skeletor.

I've got a copy ordered at my FLGS that i'll get on release day...but the owner of said FLGS is rather strict about adhering to street dates, so I sadly won't be able to spoil any early info.

Yeah, that's my scenario, too. My FLGS makes a killing off of FFG stuff (especially the RPG; we've got a big community around here), so he never releases early. But since he knows how important the Mystic book is to me, he might let me read that one that Wednesday night, I just can't buy it and take it home until Thursday.
Just called my FLGS and no sign of the book. They say Thursday is their FFG day, so I'll check back then.

Which probably explains why I got several pics of Frank Langella from the Cannon movie in my google hits.

On last night’s new Order 66, Dave said that tracking showed his new store’s shipment was scheduled to arrive today.
I have no FLGS so I won't have it until Miniature Market graces me with it.

Paradoxically, that may actually benefit you. Oftentimes, online markets will send out their pre-ordered copies as soon as they receive them, and so people will often online pre-orders a couple of days before street date, while brick-and-mortar FLGSs will get them ahead of time, but can't actually distribute those copies until street date.
So who knows! You might be our spoiler! It's a heavy burden to take on, but it is an honor, nonetheless .
Well, if such a burden falls to me, it'll be my honor to take it up o7

You're so lucky, my flgs tends to get their shipments 1 day too early which almost always means the new book isn't in it which means I usually can't get the book until 6 days AFTER the street date

Lately the local shipping has been a bit of a nightmare. The new Eldritch Horror expansion was dated for this thursday, but their truck didn't show up til yesterday. Not a huge problem by any means...but given how excited I am for this RPG book, the same thing will probably happen to it.
