Which Asajj Dengar?

I have been flying the list linked below fairly well and continue to learn. I do still struggle with swarms although I finally broke through a swarm. My main nemesis continues to be 4 ship rebel builds. So I wonder if I should pull torps and ext munits for engine on Asajj........or perhaps I just fly a poor strategy against it lol.......I am open to all criticism/ideas......

STart with Dengar/Expertise/K4/Unhinged/Title and Assaj/PTL/Latts and fill the last 5 points as best fits your own playstyle.

Agreed. The 2 fills I've seen are plasma torps/EM/chimps, or countermeasures/scavenger crane. I like the countermeasures build personally. It means both your ships can tank when they need to. I pulled out a top 8 with it in a store champs this summer. And it's just fun to fly. Dengar actually soloed a copy of the list that took 2nd in worlds during that tournament. Assajj died horribly to some bad dice in the first round of shooting. Dengar said, "hold my beer," and just annihilated everything. It was awesome.

The build I have been flying has the torps extra munitions but as I stated I struggle with 4 ship plus lists, trying to optimize what I would need vs 4 ship rebel and swarm in the list.....or perhaps strategy advice, I get the basic build as I have been flying it alk champs season......

Try the countermeasures/scavenger crane option and see if it fits you. It probably will work better against a 4 ship list since you can get countermeasures back multiple times thrughout the game. Plus, knocking off TL's and extra evade dice against multiple attacks is a huge key to the survivability of Dengar.

Engine Upgrade on either can be really useful - or just Gyros on Assaj and a 3 point bid to outdo Dengar Tel.

For my money filling the last 5 points is down to your play style more than to skill. If 4+ ships are what you're struggling with, CM/Crane is probably the best call, personally I'd be putting it on Assaj because she really wants to be in the thick of it, is lower PS so more subject to early locks and torps, and is much less likely to dodge arcs than Dengar and much more likely to be focus fired. Plus it really enhances her major strength of tankiness, and X-Wing list building is mostly about enhancing your strengths.
