Concentrate Fire and Sato

By GOTGeek692, in Star Wars: Armada Rules Questions

Hello,

i would just like to confirm. If I use Sato and have a ship with 3 red die. I use Sato to change 2 of those red die to black. If I have a concentrate fire command I could add an additional Black die correct.

Im pretty sure I can because concentrate Fire occurs in the modify dice step after the attack pool has already been gathered, and the instructions for concentrate fore say add another kind of dice already in the attack pool but wanted to be sure.

can anyone confirm?

You are completely correct.

Sato happens when you pick the dice up, and then before you roll.

Once you have rolled, that forms your Attack Pool - and concentrate fire says you can add a die of any colour that is in your attack Pool.

So if you had 3 Reds, picked them up, and changed 2 reds for 2 blacks... You'd then roll them.

In your pool you'd have 1 Red and 2 Blacks, and a concentrate fire could add either a red or a black.

If you had 2 Reds to start with, and you changed them to blacks, and then rolled them... a Concentrate Fire can only add a Black.

If you had 2 Reds to start with, and you decided to change them to Black... And rolled them... And then added a Blue die due to shooting at a ship that was slower than you bcause you had Quad Battery Turrets, you could take your concentrate fire and add eitehr a Black or a Blue, because they are in your pool.
