I just opened a Star Wars Destiny pack and pulled Dark Apprentice Darth Vader. While looking at the dice I discovered that it was damaged. I have never even rolled the dice and there was a large patch of blue where the melee symbol was. Has anyone else experienced this?

It's still a legal die so it's usable, just a random production issue. Quality control on this product hasn't been 100%, I've seen a lot of packs with mis-matched cards and dice- along with some splotches like you have as well as small divets (my buddy has a SoR Vader with a noticeable divot in the 3-melee side. It shouldn't affect the game, just the aesthetics.

You can take a better photo and scan your receipt for the booster that you purchased, and send it to their customer support ( http://parts.asmodeena.com/) . I am in the process of doing something similar for two of my dice, Force Speed and Vibroknife. They both have different types of defects in the plastic of the dice, which I believe lead to the paint blistering off. Very annoying, especially for the Force Speed. They MAY send out a replacement booster, which will probably have an Outer Rim Smuggler in it or similar.

Seen this problem a few times, they just need to have a system for replacing defect dice.

I've had this happen once with a Guavian Enforcer die right out of the pack. It doesn't seem to have gotten any worse through use, but it would probably scratch off more if I weren't careful with it.

Write an email to your country distributor - if they tell you to send it back ask if they give you booster or dice - if they give you dice send it, if they will give you just booster screw it - its perfectly legal dice, better to have Vader with scrached dice than random booster with R2-D2

What is the customer service policy for Star Wars™: Destiny?

We will only be able to accept requests for English language products that have either factory damage or a defect. We will not be able to replace lost product, product damaged due to excessive use, or product damaged by the customer. We will not be able to replace non-English products. Customers with non-English product should go back to their provider.

For any requests regarding English language Star Wars: Destiny starter sets, you must have a photo and a copy of your receipt from within the last 30 days. All replacement requests for starter sets will be handled on a case-by-case basis according to the policy stated above.

In addition, we will not service any defects with common or uncommon cards. yeah. thats not a great replacement. a free pack is a free pack though, i guess.

Two random boosters just received... Maz and Unkar - Damnit! No legendary replacement... I was naively a little hopeful.
