Hammerhead task force cards: What a crock

Sounds like a good reason to not get into SW Armada.

That would be a good reason for you not to get into ANY FFG game, as every single FFG sanctioned tourney for literally EVERY game they make requires you to have the actual component on hand, wether card or mini.

As several people have stated, it's usually no big deal to borrow a card from another player.

of course, if you're just playing casual with friends, proxy whatever you wish. But if you go to a FFG sanctioned tourney, you need the actual components.

No, it's a reason to not have an attitude about it, since every Armada community I know is more than friendly enough to loan ships and cards around essentially freely for tournaments to players who aren't causing unnecessary friction.

I might not have been being entirely serious.

Maybe you should check the product pager next time?

Nah, the actual Product page doesn't seem to break down the contents.

To reply to all of you: Star Wars Armada wiki says different:

http://starwars-armada.wikia.com/wiki/Hammerhead_Corvettes_Expansion_Pack

I see only 1 copy each of the 2 TF cards in the inventory.

(It *also* seems to say you get only 1 copy each of the ship cards (1 Torpedo Hammerhead, 1 Scout Hammerhead), which is also a gyp. I want ALL MATCHED Torpedo Hammerheads.)

Fixed the wiki there now.

It says the number of cards if I'm not wrong, and if you count all uniques and add to 2x the number of non-unique previewed it matches with 2 TF of each in the pack

I was really hoping this was gonna get Nelson-esque for a moment. Ah well.

For the OP, as people have said, all the cards you want to see doubles of come in pairs for this expansion. Praise Space Jeebus.

So I was wrong, I think in some article it mentions, but not sure. The way I figured out initially is by counting the number of cards facedown in the preview image, and it matched the number of generic cards in the image

Certainly hard to visually parse. Be nice if they'd break it down more-explicitly to avoid exactly this kind of misunderstanding.

Indeed.

Now, on to my strategy: Did I mention I have an idea for a fleet/strategy called "The Bum's Rush"?

Think it would work better with eight Hammerheads?

I was hoping more for a Bladewing24 thread. He was fun... <_<

Sounds interesting. Is this a torpedo blitz list?

Armada is dead. Ben broke it. Clearly everyone else is playing the game wrong because I bought a black market auto-win upgrade out of the back of a guys car behind the LGS and people won't accept my greatness. I'm gonna sell all of my spaceships and quit playing but I'll keep posting just to remind everyone how dead this game is.

Ahh, fun times indeed.

The hammerhead box comes with zero Ackbar useful cards or ships. FFG are a joke, eveyonr knows you cant win without fish face and i cant see how this changes things.

Ps I am a lecturer in Amada and Englizh Spelling.

This thread is a dumpster fire and should be abandoned post haste.

Only because I showed Ben my list and he lit it on fire and threw it in the dumpster along with my fleet so I couldn't beat him. Armada is dead, dead, dead.

I mean, seems to me the fire is out. Dude admitted he made a mistake and asked for strategy help, so not so much a fire anymore.

How cute.

1 copy is more than enough to copy and plastify.

I'm going with Ben and the original Wiki post that there is in fact only one card per box. This will not be corrected until the next FAQ.

Sorta. More just generalized "I either I win in like 2-3 turns or I die gloriously in the attempt. And in the end, isn't that just another *kind* of winning?"

Sounds fun!

I love swarm fleets, and you always are living or dying by the seat of your pants. Hammies are at the same time tanky and fragile. I'd rather have a hammy blocking an MC80 pickle than most other ships, but they are still prone to being 1-shot.

Well figure this:

-Torp Hammerhead

+ External Racks

+ Ordnance Experts

+TF Antilles

...commanded by Commander Sato

...escorted by some sort of fighters to trigger Sato's ability

For one glorious attack, EACH Hammerhead rolls:

-5 BLACK on it's front arc (3 black + 2 black replacing 1 red, 1 blue 'cause of Sato)

-rerolling 2 of those 'cause of Ordnance Experts

...with all of the Hammerheads spreading any damage done to them around due to all being in TF Antilles.

What d'you think?
