So just finished the Dunwich campaign playing with a friend. I was playing Daisy and he was playing Jenny. I spent the last of my XP going into Lost In Time And Space upgrading my second Deduction and doing one other switch out, he spent his 8 remaining XP on 2 copies of Chicago Typewriter. Really insane scenario with locations popping in and out of existence on the board, not always even having a link to the other locations. In fact, we ended up spawning 2 Interstellar travelers on a location with no connections. Only problem with that being they get doom put on them. Took a bit of back and forth getting the clues to advance, triggering Edge of the Universe location, then trying to find locations that would let us get there and more clues to enter said Edge. Luckily Jenny got a Chicago Typewriter out early and combined with Daisy's I've got a plan, we were able to take out the two Interstellar Travelers in a one-two punch preventing them from triggering the advance of the second agenda, giving us four turns of breathing space. Also had gotten The Orlaus Wormius translation of the necronomicon out on the opening hand for Daisy. Putting that necronomicon in Daisy's deck was one of the single most important decision of the campaign. I got it out on almost all of the scenarios, turning Daisy into a resource MACHINE. Combine that with Higher Education and she was almost unstoppable.
Once Daisy got to The Edge Of The Universe, she used an upgraded Deduction to vacuum up 3 clues at once, paused to use a preposterous sketch to bring her hand back up above the 5 cards needed to use Higher Education and closed the rift on the next turn. This brings up A Tear Through Time location which we assume is our ticket home, having locked Yoggy out by closing the Rift at The Edge. We also assume we're gonna need some clues to trigger the resignation. Jenny gets her clues and moves towards the final location. Having spent all her clues advancing the last part, Daisy stops to pick up the last two clues at Prismatic Cascade. Now I've noted that doing so will cause Cascade to disappear, shunting Daisy back to Another Dimension where she will have to again reveal new locations to get her to that last location, but I'm fairly confident. So she does it, pops back to Another Dimension and on the Mythos Phase, the Agenda advances and Yoggy himself appears at ANOTHER DIMENSION! OH ****!!!!!!
So Daisy does the reveal location trick, which on the first try nets me an Endless Bridge which connects to where I need to go. I also have enough actions left to move two spaces. Now Endless Bridge has a bit where when an investigator leaves, you either place a doom on the Bridge or discard the location, so of course I discard the location and now YOGGY IS TRAPPED ON ANOTHER DIMENSION. Of course when we reveal Tear Through Time we realize the clues necessary to resign are actually at the location so that was unnecessary, but man was it a rush and since we both had the necessary clues, easy peasy resigning. Didn't have to deal with even one attack by Yoggy. And trust me, you don't want to.
