Jet pack or rey's staff

By Izikial, in Star Wars: Destiny

Hi im putting together a poe and epic chewie deck im using the falcon and reversal to combo with chewie data pads and cunning. Letting me turn a few dice then throw them at my foe. To add some control in while i get there im going to put either rey's staff or jet pack in.

What do you guys think is the better choice. Rey's lets me get reid of either dice type meaning i have more versatility. But the jet pack dice is just loads better and its dice removal gives me a shield too

Rey's staff is consistent black close combat damage. Jet pack adds a lot of ranged damage when it's doesn't get mitigated. It's a personal choice.

Rey's Staff is one of the most underused upgrades in the game. It's consistent and has a great special. Jet Pack is another great 2 point card and can lay on the hurt too. The answer might be "use both" and find something else to take out of your deck. Maybe a less efficient upgrade.

Both? All those specials synergize.

If you're primary goal is using Chewie, then Rey's Staff. Many decks don't run melee, Rey's Staff guarantees you can get the dice off the table.

Rey Staff (while it is decent card, i dunno where all the hate towards it comes from) is rather specialist use - its 3 dmg side has to be paid and special is very defensive. If you wanna run Cunning its very decent defensive card.

Jetpack on the other hand adds sheetload of additional damage to your black hero gun sides (and both of your guys does not lack them) with having similar defensive special to Staff.

With Poe/Chewie deck i think Jetpack is kinda obvious choice - it will add way more damage than Staff. Staff is good in melee decks - Qui/Rey or even some Luke and Obiwans variations.

Since Rey staff is a unique, take one copy of it and then 1 copy of jetpack.

I tend to only take one copy of anything unique otherwise I end up with dead cards in my hand.

Thats the magic of destiny - there are no dead cards. Rerolls all day long.

I agree that only one copy of a unique in a deck. There is nothing worse than drawing a dead card.
