Help me dominate!

I mean build dominator in wave vi?

I liked using underused stuff like dominator even bef wave vi, and though it is worth an upgrade from vicI to II it helps the vsd to fire isd levels of dice. Now with wave vi out how would you build the dominator? Rest of the list is open so can build around dom. Casual/fun builds welcome too as I like to experiment!

Current ideas:

VsdII, qbt, sw7, dc, gunteams, wulff

Total: 124

Pretty self-explanatory. Increases the threat range and reliability of dominator's shots. Does not mind closing so that d can proc. Wulff helps to retain eng tokens so the vic can nav dial, otherwise jerry can help for harder turns, though the 3 dmg change each turn is then much swingier. Admiral titus sounds fun too. Pretty expensive overall though

VsdI, xx9, ex racks, Boarding troop

Total: 96

Spearhead. Meant to dive in, do dmg and most likely die. Since dominator needs to reach med range to proc, might as well go close range. At close range, bt removes most tokens, er increases dmg, and xx9 pushes crits in. Maybe vader commander to increase reliability

Station Assault or Blockade Run to force/limit where your opponent can go.

Hyperspace Assault to get Dominator in the rear at close range.

Minefields to force your opponent to come at Dominator or run through a bunch of obstacles n mines.

Vic II - Tue, ECM, LS/SW7, QBT, DC, GT, Dominator

Should take JJ with Vics and a Comms Net to feed Repair tokens. Interdictor with Projection Experts would be a good add too and allow for more obstacle movements.

Maarek, Valen, and Ciena should be your start for squads. Good against squads and ships and quite hard to kill.

I don't think Wulff is a good choice for a Vic. The only token you ever want is Repair, and Comms Net is more efficient because it's another ship to attack and activate for 25 points compared to 7. Since you're running Dominator, you're going to run out of shields, and a Vic with no shields is a dead Vic. Tua makes sure you get the most out of your Brace which will help keep shields up.

SW7 is a good choice once you make it to medium range, but I found LS is simply better for rerolling reds and blues for Acc. With 5-6 blues though, SW7 might be the better option.

I'm not sure if I'd use JJ in conjunction with Dominator. That's just a lot of friendly shield stripping, and Dominator makes even side and rear arcs of a Vic scary. For me, both JJ and Dominator spend shields to increase threat range, and it's a tough proposition to do both when I could have more complementary effects. Like Motti giving me 2 more hull to chew through.

U make a point. But without jerry vics have to keep using nav dials to keep their guns on the opponent? Wulff and eng dial though helps to recover 3 shields that dominator would lose from one attack+ jerry maneuver. Losing shields does happen after eng recivery though so yes it would be exposed by at least 3 shields down.

Oooh, what about tua + redundant shields then?

Could pair it with an INT with projections to throw shields to it? Keep the Admiral on the INT, if they go for it, it's beefy to chew through due to repair spam.

Don't forget that even with Disposable Capacitors Dominator only adds those bonus dice at close-medium range.
