Sloan double victory list C+C needed!

By Corinthius, in Star Wars: Armada Fleet Builds

Been trying to come up with a decent list using some of the wave 6 toys. Idea of the list is the squadrons should hopefully win the squadron fight and then just hassle the capital ships with sloans ability, and the victories are loaded to do some serious damage. Let me know what you think!

Commander: Admiral Sloane

397/400

Assault Objective: Opening Salvo
Defense Objective: Fire Lanes
Navigation Objective: Sensor Net

[ flagship ] Victory II-Class Star Destroyer (85 points)
- Admiral Sloane ( 24 points)
- Gunnery Team ( 7 points)
- Disposable Capacitors ( 3 points)
- Quad Battery Turrets ( 5 points)
- Leading Shots ( 4 points)
= 128 total ship cost

Victory I-Class Star Destroyer (73 points)
- Ordnance Experts ( 4 points)
- Quad Battery Turrets ( 5 points)
- External Racks ( 3 points)
= 85 total ship cost

Gozanti-class Cruisers (23 points)
- Comms Net ( 2 points)
= 25 total ship cost

Gozanti-class Cruisers (23 points)
- Comms Net ( 2 points)
= 25 total ship cost

1 Dengar ( 20 points)
2 Lambda-class Shuttles ( 30 points)
1 "Howlrunner" ( 16 points)
1 "Mauler" Mithel ( 15 points)
1 Valen Rudor ( 13 points)
1 Saber Squadron ( 12 points)
1 Ciena Ree ( 17 points)
1 TIE Interceptor Squadron ( 11 points)

Any Feedback? would Jerjerrod be better? or will I get away with just slow rolling both ships at speed 1? All my objectives should support the slow roll in theory. Thinking about taking this to a tournament on Saturday!

It looks solid enough. I would probably swap a couple of things

-Swap XI7 out for Quads on the Vic 1, or Dual Turbolasers if you've only got 1.

-Drop the Inquisitor. If you're going to slow roll anyways just make sure you've got a token or the Gozanti does. Give the other Gozanti Comms net as well

Thanks! With those changes it takes me to 397pts, I could either keep it as a bid, or go for disposable capacitors on the Vic 1 aswell, though not sure if its worth it for just 1 blue long range

Quad battery turrets does just add a blue die to your pool, so even at distance you'll get it.

It depends on the objective, to be sure. If it was just a straight fight, I think my biggest fear of running a Sloane fleet is the big target the flagship becomes. with high activation Rebel fleets, you run the chance of getting the flagship VSD destroyed and severely hampering your squadrons. The Second VSD only protects one side.

Wow, they're even better than I thought!

Yeah will have to be clever with my deployment, try and keep the VSD 1 covering the nastier side and maybe a flottila and some squadrons on the other for a bit of a screen, and hopefully scare anything coming up with the potential of that nasty long range shot. Will be an interesting list to try out, fairly excited to get it on the table!
