Leia on Mon Karren
Liberties love Leia.
Came second in a store champ yesterday using a Liberty + MSU fleet. The build was the Battle Cruiser, with Mon Karren, Skilled First Officer, Gunnery Team, Nav Team and Dual Turbolaser Turrets. As some people have mentioned, the Nav Teams give you a Madine-esque turn (take a token early and then use it with a command to give yourself three extra yaw), but where Leia shines is in boosting all the other commands, rather than just navigate. The Liberty loves the extra dice and re-roll from a concentrate fire, engineering takes it up to a helpful six, and even squadron can make it three activations. Skilled First Officer means you have some flexibility on the commands for a measly point (I tend to stack different commands one after the other, knowing I can skip if necessary), and the rest is to flavour.
This build doesn't need Mon Karren: Endeavour is always handy for the contain, and my friend took Liberty and Antilles to make his Liberty an excellent carrier (six squads, one ship). But Mon Karren means I can focus my dice rolls and concentrate fires around pumping out damage, and not worry too much about taking other turbolasers to mitigate defence tokens.
Seriously, a Leia liberty is great fun to play with. It can out-flank similar size ships with ease, throw handfuls of dice, and is much more survivable than a standard Liberty. I found that Leia just boosted every ship in my fleet. I would thoroughly recommend giving her a go - she's expensive, but she's great.
(If anyone is interested, this was my fleet. There isn't one ship in there that didn't love flying with Leia.)

I would contend its only ever Two extra Yaw. And it comes into with explicit warning.
Three extra Yaw would be a Dial + Token + Token effect, with Nav Teams.
Leia activates when you issue a "Command Dial" command. Granting you the benefit of a Token. Turning from Dial into Dial+Token.
If you issue a Dial+Token Command... You did not issue a "Command Dial" command, and Leia does not trigger, leaving you with "Command Dial + Token", which is Two extra Yaw.
Honestly, the 3 Extra Yaw side of things isn't bad... The game breaking parts of it are how you can stack other Dial+Token+Token interactions, which honestly, make her so completely baller that you wouldn't ever see another Admiral... ( Liberty throwing 6 Squadrons with Flight Controllers? Yes Please.)
You can't use the extra token with Leia and Nav Team, either Leia triggers the card or the token does, it is a single trigger opportunity.
Same with all the other command tokens.

OK, I should maybe have prefaced this with the debate currently raging on how Leia affects tokens. Another guy brought the fabled 6 squadron Liberty, and the guy officiating the tournament agreed with his logic, with no complaint from other players, so we played it. On my part, I only used the rule once (to get that third yaw), as I had only learnt about this as a possibility there and then - it just didn't factor into my game plan.
We'll need to get the FAQ, but even without the extra token, adding two yaw is powerful on the Liberty. Some of the manoeuvres you can manage at speed 3 can rival a Corvette for niftiness, and all the other shenanigans you can do with Leia only make it more powerful. I was happily taking the above list with no knowledge of the current debate, and I'd happily do so again.

Man, I want to play that Tournament. So Jealous
But I agree she's great even without that.
After the Playtesting I did with it pre-release... I simply cannot condone it in the tournaments I run. It is to, to good .
She's still fantastic with the limitation, by all measures - you just have to account for it in your ship builds and archtypes.. But when you do... Wow .

I'm of your opinion - I can see the logic either way (it's so semantic...), but I think she's powerful enough as it is.
As it was, I still managed to beat the guy, and to amusingly negate the Liberty title. Got a crit on it, it was Comm noise, so no squadron dial for him! Following turn, use my Hammerhead's boarding engineers, so once again, no second squadron dial! Was a great fun game between two Leia fleets and three Liberties, and showed off what she can do.
I really wish FFG would learn to write. I understand why people argue that you can use a token with her ability, but w/out them explicitly saying it I highly doubt it's going to be ruled in your favor.
I'm going to try a Mon Karren Leia out... just for the giggles really, and because I saw it in an article...
