Dice count guide for X-wing

This is a rough guide for how to predict what number of dice each ship should have/should have had. It holds true up till about wave 4, but is still reasonably accurate afterwards, although it does not take into account the power of the guns on any particular ship.

Here it is:

The number of dice a ship gets is directly linked to the number of guns on the ship by the equation:

G=2^(D-1)

Where G is the number of guns, D is the number of Dice.

In less mathematical terms, The number of dice increases by one every time the number of guns on the ship doubles, starting at 1 die = 1 gun.

All ships in wave 1 Adhere to this rule (excepting TIE/x1 - can be retconned by saying the Advanced x1's guns are more powerful)

Wave 2, A-wings, YT-1300 (Top and bottom guns cover different halves of the ship) follow this rule, although TIE/in should have 3.58 dice, and Firespray-31 must just have powerful guns.

Wave 3, all ships follow if guns which belong to secondary weapons are discounted

wave 4, TIE/x7 should have 3.58 dice, TIE/D is correct. z-95 is correct, while E-wing should have 2.58, and TIE/ph needed only 3.32 (unless it has 2x guns on each wing)

Wave 5, VT-49 should have had 4 dice, YT-2400 should have at least had 3 (look at the size of its guns!).

Wave 6, Scyk, Virago follow this rule, but IG-2000 is Seriously messed up on the weapons side, considering Tractor beam was not yet released. If equipped With Tractor beam and ion cannon, it is probably about right, but may only have deserved 2 dice.

Wave 7 is all correct as per wave 3, excepting Kihraxz, which should have had 2 dice.

Wave 8 and above I'm not so familiar with the ships specs and would have to look them up, and because I'm feeling lazy, I think I'll leave it for now.

I kinda doubt they really look at this, it's probably based on game balance. If they follow a formula, accuracy and firing rate (Firespray rocks this) should be accounted for as well.
