New to the game, trying to find Awakenings packs

By MasterMicVin, in Star Wars: Destiny

The title pretty much says it all. This game looks very fun and intriguing to me, but unfortunately I can't seem to find anywhere online that still carries Awakenings packs. I was able to order the Rey/Kylo base sets via Amazon, but I am looking to get deeper into the game. Suggestions or any advice as to purchasing packs as a new player???

I'm sure you've heard the long spiel about the lack of stock this game suffers from, so I'll spare you that.

I've ordered stuff from Team Covenant before, and I highly recommend them. They're a good and reputable company, they ship quickly, and they have good customer service as well as letting you track your order. I don't think they have Awakinings stock right now, and I'm not sure they ever will again, although they say they will in August... they still have stock of Spirit of Rebellion and they'll probably be accepting Empire at War preorders soon. They're probably your best bet right now:

Best of luck! May the Force be with you.

Depending on where you are, people on here might be able to help you. I know where I can find at least a couple more boxes but that may not help if you're not local. Maybe buy some Spirit of Rebellion and hope for some good trade bait? Beyond that, I'm sure you can find commons and uncommons reasonably cheap locally.

I just left a local store in western kentucky with a half dozen or more boxes of awakenings.

You don't even know how many boxes you bought? That is someone who has gone a little too crazy for this game, methinks! Awesome.

Unless you're an eBay reseller/price-gouger. In which case shame on you.

If that was for me, I didn't mean I bought them I just meant they had them in stock...lol

I only left with 8 packs total :)

Haha! Ok - sorry. I bought five boxes of SoR total (albeit over a few months), so you never know!

I just started too and the quest for boosters locally has been part of the fun. I went to 4 stores last Friday and they were all out. The fifth store? Had 4 Awakenings boosters so I bought them. Don't give up although we are late to the party for sure.

I didn't start this game until January, when I realized my friend was really obsessed and wanted to play it all the time at lunch. It was an absolute nightmare trying to find stock for the longest time, I ended up driving an hour to get six packs a day as much as possible at the one store that still had some, so I feel your guys' pain. Luckily, Spirit of Rebellion still seems relatively easy to find, and I don't think you'll suffer that much from buying SoR instead. Most of the good decks have just as many SoR cards as Awakenings cards, so there's not a magical benefit to buying Awakenings. If you have a reasonably large local community, you should be able to find somebody who will trade you various Awakenings cards for your SoR spares anyway! That's been my method. Besides, Awakenings packs can potentially be really disappointing, my last three Awakenings packs were Infantry Grenades, Rey's Staff, and Stormtrooper...

Several stores in the SoCal area have plenty of the reprinted Awakenings boosters. I've already picked up 2 booster boxes since their release.
