Looking for Feedback: Sloane's Swarm

By sunny ravencourt, in Star Wars: Armada Fleet Builds

Looking to take a list to store championships. I really enjoy fighters and thought Sloane might be the way to go. I'd like to fly an ISD, but I'm worried about too few activations. Two Glads gives me some freedom to keep the ship number high (4) and still lets me put out serious damage. Please let me know what you think

Projection experts are an interesting choice for gladiator, as frail as they are, giving away shields might not be the best bet. Engine techs are a great way to improve your positioning.

whoah. Did I put projection experts on there? That doesn't work. Also, I learned that I illegally put on boarding party since I didn't have an offensive slot available. I revamped.

Fel doesn't get you much without some escort fighters to force the enemy to not attack Fel and take extra damage.

I would drop ETs an FCTs and either take Tie-A, Zertek or Tempest squadron.

Well, I got absolutely murdered last night by a good player with a couple guppys and ackbar. I got the glads behind him, but he was trucking at speed 3 and I had difficulty catching him while he peppered me. I killed his squad (although I admittedly forgot a bunch of neat tricks in the cards).

Notes: The phantoms are underwhelming. Soontir is exactly like Mad Cat said (a spendy escort). I also think I need to get those squads working on the enemy ships too. At the end of the day, I ran out of time for them to do their thing.

I ran this list last night with great effect (minus driving my Quasar off the board). I find that higher activation's are needed to compete.

I tried to run the double Glad and just got obliterated unfortunately. I do agree with the activations problem. I experienced that as well. I've modified.

This is similar to my list I've been using recently. I have flight controllers and stronghold on the Quasar and Suppressor on a Gozanti. Squadrons are Howl, 4 TIE-I, 5 TIE-F & Zertek.

I ran a 3 Glad, 2 Goz, 4 Decimator list at a store champs last weekend and got 4th. I would run it again, but was lucky that my opponents didn't go fighter heavy, the most I faced was 2 Ties and 2 Tie interceptors or 2 A wings and a couple of Z95s, which the Decis ate easily.

I would have struggled against a lot of X wings and Yavaris. On the plus side the Decis killed anything from Peltor/Kitten and below, Hammerheads being their favorite snacks.

Try to find room for EHB and Flight Controllers on the Quasar, it'll really help out your fighters.

Wait, did you run this list with Sloane? If so, what would the point?

Sorry not with Sloane, just picking up on the multiple gladiator lists that came later in the thread. If I had come up against any of the half dozen Sloane lists I probably would have a very hard time.
