Evade token vs. the huxxed hit result

By Velvetelvis, in X-Wing Rules Questions

The set aside hit cannot be canceled by defense dice.

Spending an evade token is the same as setting down a dice with n evade result?

Token does not cancel the huxxed die?

P.s.

These conditions are ridiculous.

Correct.

Correct.

It's just like Autoblaster. When something says, "cannot be canceled by defense dice", it really means "cannot be canceled by <squiggly evade symbols>", no matter where they come from.

And Ten Numb + a critical result...which is far worse than the hit... :D

Although a Shield could still take the crit.

Imperial moto: All guts, no shields.

*whispered* Imperial moto: You are expendable.
